Is Dymburt a gay?

I have a lot of admiration for CBS' David Begnaud. First he did all that amazing work in Puerto Rico after the hurricanes, keeping a spotlight on their struggles through his reporting and his social media. Then I found out he was gay when he came out in that lah-de-dah, nonchalant way the kids do now, with a post on Twitter mentioning his husband in passing. THEN I found out the motherfucker has Tourette syndrome. Anyone who could survive high school as a queerling with tics and twitches, then go on to successfully work on TV, is a badass in my book. Plus he knows how to pluck at your heartstrings when reporting a story. He doesn't just interview the tornado victim, he films the reunion between the victim and their beloved dog who then sniffs out the wedding album from the wreckage.

I can’t take a “journalist” with a thirsty Instagram page very seriously.

For NY DL’ers, any gossip on Dan Mannarino from WPIX Channel 11?

R7, from discussions they've had on-air, my impression is that Dan is not out, at least not to viewers. There were comments made by his co-anchors in the past about him finding "the right girl," though nothing like that has been said in a long time. He adopted a baby girl over the summer, so any talk about his personal life now focuses primarily on that. There is virtually no discussion anymore of his dating life and he makes it quite clear that he is a single parent (though assisted by a nanny).

My guess? He's probably out to his family and friends but not beyond that.

Chris Burrous will always be the most infamous of them. And his cause of death literally shocked everybody here in LA. He was great at his job and is missed.

Does anyone remember Huell Howser?

He was beloved in Southern California for his show called "California Gold".

He died relatively young from cancer.

Huells show is still on KCET M-F at 7. Its goofy but its entertaining.

Huell was never officially out but apparently was "hiding in plain sight." His lover was his Latino cameraman.

There's a gay guy on the local news here and I can always tell when he thinks the story they're doing is a waste of time, he seems bitchy. I like him!
