Biden's Top Secret Docs were in his GARAGE, at home!

Are the democrats trying to get rid of Biden by dredging this up before election year?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | January 12, 2023 6:10 PM |
Hmmm R1. Interesting.
I just cant believe someone wasn't dispatched to all his haunts during the TRUMP takedown to make sure Biden's papers were in order. Sloppy.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | January 12, 2023 6:13 PM |
1. Not all "classified" docs are the same. "Levels and categories of classification. The United States government classifies sensitive information according to the degree which the unauthorized disclosure would damage national security. The three primary levels of classification (from least to greatest) are Confidential, Secret, and Top Secret."
2. There is a difference between possessing docs and possessing docs with an intent to sell - ask any drug dealer.
3. This narrative is intended to create a false equivalency - the stock and trade of rightwing whataboutism.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | January 12, 2023 6:13 PM |
Good arguments. But why let the right have this opportunity? Why wasn't this all swept 6 months ago? Or is this the sweeping in action?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | January 12, 2023 6:15 PM |
I agree r3, and I agree with ALL the people saying this is not the same as Trump's bullshit.
But there is a problem. It looks stupid. It looks lazy. It looks half-assed that nobody noticed this before, especially during all that shit going on at Mar a Lago.
It also indicates that there is a lot of bullshit with our whole classification system. Government loves classifying anything and everything, and putting that stupid "top secret" stamp on shit gives it a little thrill up the leg. I imagine there are a lot of "sensitive" oh so "highly classified" documentation out there that is actually the most routine crap that nobody actually really cares about. Leading to people at the top getting kind of careless about the whole thing.

Jill donated her clit to R22's mother, who lost hers when giving birth to R22. He ripped it out, desperately clinging to it as he didn't want to come out and face the cold, cruel world.

The problem that this presents for Republicans is that the more they scream “it’s the same thing” the more the starkly different way the Trump camp has acted, and will continue to act, will be harder for them to spin. They can no longer argue that it’s an abuse of government power if Biden is investigated in the same manner as Trump.

This is absolutely true. I worked as a Communications Officer in American Embassies for over 20 years. I handled the most sensitive TS/SCI/EYES ONLY documents that only the Ambassador could read. Most of it is over-classified crap. Almost all of the telegram correspondence is classified, simply because they don't want foreign nationals, who work in the Embassies, to read it. However, because it is classified it had to be handled, destroyed or kept in an appropriate vault or safe. We literally shredded tons of paper every year, simply because it was over classified nonsense.
What Trump did was criminal, no doubt about it. However, we still don't know Biden's story. Simply because it was found and turned in does not reveal how it was stored or how available it was to uncleared persons. Many questions need answering, surely. But, hopefully, the correct answers may reveal that that the correct procedure was actually fulfilled. It will be interesting how this plays out.

Certainly r38, that is a possibility. Classified documents, especially TS/SCI, can be traced. The question I have are the content of these documents. Why would Biden keep them? Are they even something pertaining to him, or irrelevant documents that could have been placed by espionage? It is certainly plausible, depending on the content of the documents. The question remain of why these documents would have been saved by Biden and did he even know about them?
Shakespeare's line "What fuckery abounds" comes to mind.

It is *not* tin hat to be paranoid about SS. Read up on it and you’ll see it is true that there are major shenanigans going on in SS, from the Director deleting data files the Jan. 6th Committee demanded, to refusing to testify, to Mike Pence not getting in the car, to the dog bite incident. And there are more stories, just look it up. SS is LEO, and all LEO agencies lean right anyway, so it shouldn’t come as a shock that they are corrupt coming out of Trump.

This is the end for Biden--one way or another. He can either be impeached and convicted, or he can resign now and reset the narrative. Kamala likely also now has less than zero chance of ever being elected president. Nonetheless, Biden should step aside tomorrow. Elevate Kamala to President, have her fire Garland immediately and replace him with an AG who will, on day one, indict and imprison Trump and his entire family plus Lady Lindsey, Matt Gaetz, Margie Q, Gosar, Boebert, McCarthy, Cruz, Hawley (for sedition/treason/obstruction/fraud/etc.). Since Kamala has no chance anyway to be elected in 2024 or ever, fucking grow some balls and burn this shit down before the Repigs get the chance to do it themselves.

We know. But this still isn’t helpful for Biden. This will dominate the news cycle now, instead of focusing on Biden’s wins with the economy, and Republican failures in the House.

Oh, Jesus Christ, the Repugs self-billed as "Republicans, the party that believes in personal responsibility", but yet, they've performed handstands, cartwheels, LYING, to rescue, justify, and try to guard and protect, even from himself, the low-down, bigoted, stupid, criminal behavior of the likes of Donald Trump, the worst POTUS ever.
Yes, I'd love to take my foot and give a swift kick to the buttocks of Joseph Biden for his having documents, too, but it's a measure of the contempt Repugs have for their own arguments, and the people who would be stupidly persuaded by them, that they even attempt drawing any comparisons to the very different reactions of Biden and Trump.
by Anonymous | reply 128 | January 14, 2023 6:41 PM |
Remember, every Republican accusation is always a confession. So when their initial defense from the Trump situation was that the FBI planted them, it was their admitting that the SS did the same to Biden. We already know they were complicit in Jan 6. The SS needs to be disbanded and a new non-partisan security arrangement made, with the Trump children kicked off the plan.

Memo to self.
When I'm in the final two months of my term as US President. I'll direct the staff of the Nation Archives assist me in my move-out.
We'll examine and determine what is, and isn't, mine.
That all will be documented contemporaneously.
That way, I maximize the chances that I don't mistakenly, or deliberately, close the door behind me still holding documents that I shouldn't have.

Sadly you are right r126, at least for awhile. The lovely and talented media love nothing more than a Democratic Scandal, so they can all preen about how they are totally UNNNBIASSSS and can spend a week ignoring the fact that the Republican Party is a complete shit show every minute of every day. Such a sad and stupid ritual.
But if the media want to actually ask an intelligent question for once, they could ask if we overclassify documents. Why exactly has nobody given a flying fuck about these TOP SECRET eyes only, must have documents for six years? Are they basically useless, routine crap?

The View women did not turn on Biden. They discussed the clear differences between the two situations. Biden's people found the documents and Biden is fully cooperative. Griffen was the one who "turned" on him, commenting that the age of the docs doesn't matter, it's still a security risk.
I hope that we get an idea, eventually, of the subject matter of the documents. Just break it down for us in general terms, please.

Yes but sadly mysteriously malfunctioning each time the suitcases of Ukrainian oligarch cash are delivered
The security system at Vice President Joe Biden's Delaware private residence "malfunctioned" so badly late last year that Secret Service agents had to shut it off.
What's more, Saturday's shooting outside the New Castle County estate, when a motorist unloaded several rounds before speeding away, wasn't caught on camera because there wasn't one trained on the road, the Washington Post reports.
Despite the gaps in his home's security--and the embattled state of affairs within the Secret Service ranks--Vice President Biden said he's not concerned about his family's safety.

Karma
As a senator, Joe Biden helped kill President Jimmy Carter’s CIA director nominee because he allegedly mishandled classified materials.
Biden was a rising star in the U.S. Senate and an inaugural member of the Intelligence Committee, which was established in response to the lawlessness of the Nixon administration. Biden colluded with Republicans on the Intelligence Committee to kill the nomination of a CIA critic to be director of the agency.
Among the reasons was that the nominee, Ted Sorensen, had admitted to taking classified documents for a biography of his longtime friend John F. Kennedy and had spoken out in defense of Pentagon Papers whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg. In fact, Biden went so far as to suggest Sorensen might be subject to prosecution under the Espionage Act.
Sorensen had given an affidavit in Ellsberg’s case, in which Sorensen acknowledged that many officials in Washington, including himself, would take classified documents home to review and that officials often leaked far more sensitive documents to the press without facing prosecutions.

Trump's crime is ignoring subpoenas for them and signing a doc saying he didn't have any more when he did.

The White House press corps has, according to a new report, “grown exasperated” with Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
For the Wednesday edition of CNN’s Reliable Sources newsletter, media correspondent Oliver Darcy spoke with more than a half dozen members of the White House press corps. And they have become increasingly frustrated with a press secretary who, in their view, seldom, if ever, strays from talking points 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒔 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒂𝒍𝒔𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏.
“𝑺𝒉𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒈𝒖𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒆𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝑾𝒉𝒊𝒕𝒆 𝑯𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒔𝒆𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒆𝒓𝒂,” said one unnamed reporter who Darcy identified as a White House veteran, though this person did exclude Trump-era press secretaries from that dig.
The correspondents were particularly roiled by Jean-Pierre’s briefings last week. On Thursday afternoon, she repeatedly said that the administration’s search for classified documents had been completed. However, on Thursday night, additional classified documents were found at President Joe Biden’s Wilmington, DE residence. Jean-Pierre did not disclose the discovery of the documents at Friday’s briefing. The information wasn’t revealed until the White House released a statement on Saturday.
At Jean-Pierre’s next briefing on Tuesday, the press secretary was grilled on whether the discovery of the documents had been concealed from her or she knew about them and intentionally misled the reporters in the room. After multiple, lengthy non-answers, Jean-Pierre finally said she did not know the documents had been recovered ahead of Friday’s briefing.
According to the CNN report, the incident did not go over well with the press corps.
“There is the expectation that when you say something, it’s going to be true,” an unnamed White House correspondent told Darcy. “That’s been the biggest credibility hit for her, it’s answering a question in a way that ends up not being true.”
But at least she is a gay black womynX.

Charlamagne and co-host Andrew Schulz discussed why the reaction to Biden’s documents was so different from former President Donald Trump.
“I just like consistency, you know what I’m saying?” Charlamagne told Schulz.
Schulz insisted that there was no way they would be printing out classified documents that contain anything really important.
“Well, here’s the thing, and I’m not coping pleas for Trump. ‘Cause it’s not about Trump, it’s just about consistency. When it happened to Trump, it was all about the documents. It was, ‘We don’t know what’s on them. It could be nuclear codes, it could be personal information that he’s selling to foreign governments,'” Charlamagne said.
“They don’t print out nuclear codes,” Schulz said.
“But my point is, that’s what the media was saying,” Charlamagne replied.
“Now, with Biden, it’s, ‘Oh, well it’s not really about the documents. Classified documents slip up and leak all the time. Now it’s about the obstruction that Trump did.’ Like, ‘No, that’s not what y’all said when it was Trump,'” he added.
“Are you finding out that the media’s not fair?” Schulz asked.
“No, I know the media’s not fair,” Charlamagne said. “I’ve always known that, you know what I mean? But it’s just the principle, like, let’s at least try to have some consistency. Let’s not make the hypocrisy be so, so blatant.”
