Kevin Costner and Joan Allen as two middle-aged alkie Boomer neighbors who start a romance. Joan’s daughters are played by Erika Christensen, Evan Rachel Wood, Keri Russell, and Alicia Witt, which is very bizarre casting as they all look about the same age.
Did not see the ending coming on this one.

The movie really nails that upper middle class mid 2000s WASP aesthetic. I love the dining room wallpaper.

I love this movie. Watching Keri Russell try to dance away her frustration was great. As was seeing the other daughter break up with her creepy boss by admitting to faking her orgasms in front of their co workers 🤣

Erika Christensen, Evan Rachel Wood, Keri Russell, and Alicia Witt - all are very talented but they don’t look like sisters.
I can see Erika and Keri as sisters but not them and Evan.

I believe this captured suburban family female fights pretty well

Allen's still doing theater work, and was in the Stephen King mini-series "Lisey's Story" (2021).

Alicia Witt is 12 years older than Evan.

I forgot Joan Allen had been married to Peter Friedman whose career is on fire right now. Frank of Succession. George on the Marvelous Mrs. M.

I finally got around to watching this. It was good. Costner and our Joan have surprisingly good chemistry.
I realize Terry (Joan’s character) thought she’d been abandoned, but she didn’t seem to have money problems and then a former pro baseball player immediately shows up on her doorstep to woo her? I had a hard time understanding why she was spinning out so hard.
I say this as someone who drank way too much wine during the pandemic, so I guess I’m a hypocrite.
