Ooooh 2023 is off to a bitch start!
Jeremy Renner in CRITICAL CONDITION after snow plow accident
by Anonymous | reply 601 | January 5, 2023 8:28 AM |
I was expecting a different plowing for him.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | January 2, 2023 3:58 AM |
How do you get injured plowing snow?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | January 2, 2023 3:59 AM |
He must be one shitty driver.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | January 2, 2023 4:02 AM |
Mother Nature went Ham this season.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | January 2, 2023 4:03 AM |
Did he rip his hand off?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | January 2, 2023 4:07 AM |
Woa and when they say critical, but stable that is so confusing.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | January 2, 2023 4:10 AM |
It’s not good that’s he’s in critical condition at such a young age.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | January 2, 2023 4:12 AM |
I'm more used to plowing ass, the snow threw me off
by Anonymous | reply 8 | January 2, 2023 4:14 AM |
R6 It just means that a potentially grave accident with someone severely injured has now stabilized. They are recovering and improving. Critical but stable almost always comes out good. But any 5% of something going wrong could be deadly.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | January 2, 2023 4:16 AM |
R9, they said the same about Carrie Fisher. You are full of crap.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | January 2, 2023 4:17 AM |
Didn't they say that about Anne Hesche?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | January 2, 2023 4:19 AM |
It's been snowing heavily out west so inexperienced snow plow users might have accidents.
hope he recovers fully.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | January 2, 2023 4:20 AM |
R10, r11 yes and that’s why I said it’s not good because he’s too young to be in critical condition.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | January 2, 2023 4:20 AM |
Heart attack?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | January 2, 2023 4:21 AM |
TMZ hasn’t run the story yet and I wonder if it’s because they know something more and are waiting on confirmation.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | January 2, 2023 4:22 AM |
Those Jeremy Renner jokes in Glass Onion must be ERASED IMMEDIATELY
by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 2, 2023 4:22 AM |
Poor guy . He has small children . Pray for JR
by Anonymous | reply 17 | January 2, 2023 4:24 AM |
Okay, whom had Renner in their 2023 Death Pool?
by Anonymous | reply 19 | January 2, 2023 4:26 AM |
Who!
by Anonymous | reply 20 | January 2, 2023 4:29 AM |
Strange indeed that TMZ is ignoring.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | January 2, 2023 4:30 AM |
Shitty reporting, as usual, these days. Ambiguity can be cleared up with a follow-up question or two. Did he run over his foot or something, or just keel over while plowing? Was it a manual blower or riding plow?
Heart attacks in men during snow removal is a phenomenon, and doctors are trying to raise awareness. Cold air dilates blood vessels; strenuous activity raises blood pressure. Bam. Heart attack.
it’s not only snow shoveling that can be dangerous; research shows an increased risk for heart attacks even in people using automatic snow blowers. The extra exertion of pushing a snow blower can raise heart rate and blood pressure quickly.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | January 2, 2023 4:31 AM |
* - constricts blood vessels, not dilates
by Anonymous | reply 23 | January 2, 2023 4:35 AM |
Oh dearing myself at R19.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | January 2, 2023 4:36 AM |
Critical but stable means we can have his stuff.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 2, 2023 4:38 AM |
Variety said his family is with him and he is receiving best care. Very vague .
by Anonymous | reply 26 | January 2, 2023 4:39 AM |
Blood wessels
by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 2, 2023 4:43 AM |
Wouldn’t that be something if he died on the 1st.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | January 2, 2023 4:43 AM |
God forbid ! R29
by Anonymous | reply 30 | January 2, 2023 4:51 AM |
His spokesperson said his family is with him now and he is “receiving excellent care.”
If 'receiving excellent care' turns into 'resting comfortably' in the next day or two, that means he's on life support / death bed. (This is how they described Joan Rivers at the end, as well as other actors who were in critical condition and then died).
As far as the accident itself - there are many unfortunate freak accidents when a snowmobile or snow plow will malfunction and runs over the driver (usually throwing them head first over the wind guard and then rolling over them like a car once they are on the ground). It happens in the summer, as well, with riding mowers. You don't hear much about them until a family sues the manufacturer a few years later.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | January 2, 2023 4:52 AM |
His last tweets were in Lake Tahoe with a pic of his truck covered in snow
by Anonymous | reply 32 | January 2, 2023 5:02 AM |
Did Sonni Pacheco tamper with the equipment?
by Anonymous | reply 33 | January 2, 2023 5:07 AM |
Maybe he can get Doctor Strange to reverse time.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | January 2, 2023 5:08 AM |
He’s a real Human Being. This is terrible.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | January 2, 2023 5:09 AM |
R9 I never remember reading she was stabilized.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | January 2, 2023 5:12 AM |
Still nothing on TMZ.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | January 2, 2023 5:12 AM |
R10 omg it's funny r11 said Anne Heche. That's who I was thinking about. Like I said 5%.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | January 2, 2023 5:13 AM |
My heart goes out to Kristoffer Winters, his, um, roommate and business partner of 25 years.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | January 2, 2023 5:13 AM |
(R35) Is Disney plus showing Hawkeye in remembrance?
by Anonymous | reply 40 | January 2, 2023 5:14 AM |
He's not going to die. Some of you are sick.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | January 2, 2023 5:15 AM |
R36, yes she was on life support and they called her condition “ stable “. So that gives people the wrong idea
by Anonymous | reply 42 | January 2, 2023 5:16 AM |
r36, it was the first I read about her incident that day
by Anonymous | reply 43 | January 2, 2023 5:17 AM |
(R43) They never tell the truth.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | January 2, 2023 5:18 AM |
R43, Thanks rescue. I was about to double down. I don't ever recall seeing that.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | January 2, 2023 5:18 AM |
Thinhs were moving pretty quickly in the news reports that day r45, it's all good 😊
by Anonymous | reply 46 | January 2, 2023 5:21 AM |
Snow shoveling can also bring on shootings, R22.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | January 2, 2023 5:21 AM |
I am waiting for the touching and loving Instagram messages from the Marvel actors. The special times.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | January 2, 2023 5:22 AM |
R47 She should have kept her mouth shut.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | January 2, 2023 5:24 AM |
Strange that TMZ has not said a word yet .
by Anonymous | reply 50 | January 2, 2023 5:24 AM |
"I just wanted a Hawkeye stand alone film. That was it. Is that too much to ask? Fuck you Marvel. And fuck you world!"
by Anonymous | reply 51 | January 2, 2023 5:24 AM |
It’s “He He”, Rescue Chick at R11.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | January 2, 2023 5:27 AM |
He's my favorite. I ignore the Marvel shit.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | January 2, 2023 5:28 AM |
I don’t have a good feeling about this.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | January 2, 2023 5:31 AM |
Critical but stable just means vital signs are in acceptable range
by Anonymous | reply 55 | January 2, 2023 5:34 AM |
Whatever happened, whatever is going on, I hope he has a full recovery.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | January 2, 2023 5:34 AM |
He’s a pretty generous guy
by Anonymous | reply 57 | January 2, 2023 5:35 AM |
My pussy stinks!
by Anonymous | reply 58 | January 2, 2023 5:36 AM |
I think critical-but-stable means the condition is still life-threatening but things have stabilized and aren't getting worse, or deteriorating, at the present time.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | January 2, 2023 5:36 AM |
He’s a real Human Being.
As opposed to what?
by Anonymous | reply 60 | January 2, 2023 5:37 AM |
Now they are saying “ vital however secure situation.”
by Anonymous | reply 61 | January 2, 2023 5:38 AM |
It's a major holiday, and I always have gotten the impression that media outlets like TMZ and even the Mail have "light staff" on duty on those days. There output on big holidays always seems light. They may be waiting for their main writers to come back to the newsroom to do their posting.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | January 2, 2023 5:44 AM |
You fucker, you, R49.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | January 2, 2023 5:46 AM |
Oh dear! There should be "their" above in r62.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | January 2, 2023 5:46 AM |
Wonder if "weather-related accident while plowing snow" means something like hypothermia.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | January 2, 2023 5:47 AM |
He was probably showing off, hit ice and flipped it.
I know that in Vermont, we underdress for plowing or shoveling because you overheat before you know it. Don't dress for the weather, dress for working out in the weather.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | January 2, 2023 5:52 AM |
People usually get hurt trying to clear a clogged plow. The offending piece of ice is cleared, their hands/arms//face/foot are in or near parts of the machine they shouldn’t be when it’s operating and bam.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | January 2, 2023 6:05 AM |
So lost limbs ?
by Anonymous | reply 68 | January 2, 2023 6:08 AM |
Would they consider him in critical condition if he lost a finger/hand? I'm not trying to be stupid here; i truly don't know.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | January 2, 2023 6:10 AM |
if 8t were ripped off and he bled out

by Anonymous | reply 76 | January 2, 2023 6:50 AM |
I agree that the lack of details or updates is worrisome. I hope he makes it out of this OK.
by Anonymous | reply 77 | January 2, 2023 6:52 AM |
“critical but stable” seems to make people feel better, but I don’t know why, when it just means they’re in the ICU. They could be relatively okay and expected to recover, extremely critically ill, but they’re not gonna pop their clogs just yet, or basically dead (but stable!)
by Anonymous | reply 78 | January 2, 2023 6:52 AM |
So apparently he's a boy who loves big toys and has a lot of them.
It would be a shame if his love for big (rich) boy toys would cause severe/lasting or fatal consequences.
by Anonymous | reply 79 | January 2, 2023 6:57 AM |
^^i mean in the ICU but not actively getting better or worse…
by Anonymous | reply 80 | January 2, 2023 6:57 AM |
sry R78 there…
by Anonymous | reply 81 | January 2, 2023 6:59 AM |
R76 Seeing those pictures of his snow plow, I hope he didn’t get The Man in the Moon’d…
by Anonymous | reply 82 | January 2, 2023 7:12 AM |
In publicist-speak,“stable”= critical but stable; “critical but stable” = on life support; “surrounded by family” and/or “getting the best care” = brain dead.
by Anonymous | reply 83 | January 2, 2023 7:32 AM |
Sadly , I think you are right ☝🏼
by Anonymous | reply 84 | January 2, 2023 7:38 AM |
I agree, 83. There's a reason why TMZ hasn't mentioned anything about this yet.
by Anonymous | reply 85 | January 2, 2023 7:39 AM |
Maybe a "snow plowing accident" is publicist-speak for "he was plowing and accidentally drove off the side of the road and down a cliff."
We have to have at least one DLer who lives, or has relatives, in/near Tahoe who have the scoop.
by Anonymous | reply 86 | January 2, 2023 7:44 AM |
People, it means "brain-dead, but okay for organ donation."
by Anonymous | reply 87 | January 2, 2023 7:48 AM |
Hollywood reporter said the sheriff’s were called to his house
by Anonymous | reply 88 | January 2, 2023 8:01 AM |
R88 well that usually happens when someone calls 911 in an area without a big police force.
by Anonymous | reply 89 | January 2, 2023 8:04 AM |
My parents had a place on Mt Rose at Lake Tahoe, some of those driveways just hang on the edge with a steep drop.
by Anonymous | reply 90 | January 2, 2023 8:05 AM |
First celebrity tweet that I’ve seen is from Josh Gad, a few minutes ago:
My God. Praying for @JeremyRenner and his family. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
by Anonymous | reply 91 | January 2, 2023 8:13 AM |
He’s about to go through plastic surgery to have both his wide head and bowed midget legs lengthened.
This is just a cover story.
by Anonymous | reply 92 | January 2, 2023 8:16 AM |
r90 and my post at r86 + Josh Gad's tweet hopefully don't equal foreshadowing...

I'm thinking it's something like this also, but seeing the pictures of his snowplow (not a push snowblower!) in the DM link makes it more horrifying.
by Anonymous | reply 101 | January 2, 2023 1:09 PM |
Too bad, but since he wasn't in the 2023 Death Pool, I am going to go with he recovers. But the loss of one or more limbs does not sound out of the realm of possibility
by Anonymous | reply 102 | January 2, 2023 1:18 PM |
C’mon Jeremy get up! You don’t want “plowed to death” on your obituary!
by Anonymous | reply 103 | January 2, 2023 1:22 PM |
TMZ has reported on it, but no new information.
CNN has a little more detail:
Officers responded to a “traumatic injury” in the area of Mount Rose Highway in Reno, according to a news release from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, which has previously said the Academy Award-nominated actor lived in the community.
The sheriff’s office did not provide details on the extent of Renner’s injuries or what may have caused the accident.
Deputies coordinated with Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and REMSA Health to arrange for medical transport of Renner via care flight to a local area hospital.
by Anonymous | reply 104 | January 2, 2023 1:48 PM |
brain injuries.
dead in 3 weeks.
by Anonymous | reply 105 | January 2, 2023 1:55 PM |
Holy shit there are two snow plows of his shown in the DM article that look like they could murder someone dead without the driver even knowing it. I am so curious as to WHAT happened in the accident. Fell off a ledge or cliff? Got himself tangled in the machinery?
by Anonymous | reply 106 | January 2, 2023 1:59 PM |
Does anyone remember that crazy Jeremy Renner stalker? She decided at some point that she would try and turn DL into the homesite for the Jeremy Renner hate club but finally moved on. A precursor to the klan grannies.

(oops...I copied a photo from the DM article someone posted above. Sorry, didn't mean to violate any rules.)
His house in Tahoe is beautiful, but who would want to live on a mountain where it often snows you in like that? Looks brutal.
From that DM article:
"In a video posted to his Instagram account last December, the actor could be seen enjoying driving his industrial-sized snow thrower.
'I have so much respect for Mother Earth, and Mother Nature … I expect to lose the fight but I'll always give it my best shot,' he wrote."

by Anonymous | reply 116 | January 2, 2023 2:34 PM |
R114 yup. I only take TMZ seriously when they’re reporting on celebrity injuries and deaths. Other than that, 99 percent of it is low grade entertainment news, with Z listers no one gives a shit about. Praying for Jeremy.
by Anonymous | reply 117 | January 2, 2023 2:34 PM |
I hope he recovers. I admire a guy who has cash to take care of his landscaping and household upkeep but tries to maintain some of it himself - mainly because I myself am a lazy, fat whore.
by Anonymous | reply 118 | January 2, 2023 2:35 PM |
Didn't TMZ also drop the ball on Bob Oedenkirk's heart attack? Maybe they don't have any sources in these areas of the country and just can't get any info.
by Anonymous | reply 119 | January 2, 2023 2:38 PM |
Was Bob's heart attack related to Jeremy getting plowed? Asking for a friend.
by Anonymous | reply 120 | January 2, 2023 2:40 PM |
R119 from what I remember they reported on it for the duration of his heart attack to recovery.
by Anonymous | reply 121 | January 2, 2023 2:40 PM |
We went a LONG time without any updates on Oedenkirk immediately after it happened, is what I'm saying. We didn't find out what happened until after he got out of surgery many hours later.
by Anonymous | reply 122 | January 2, 2023 2:45 PM |
R122 I imagine there was nothing significant to report on then in that time frame.
by Anonymous | reply 123 | January 2, 2023 2:49 PM |
R114 Even with rappers they’ve been dropping the ball lately. Pictures of Offset’s lifeless body circulated on Twitter for hours before they posted about it.
by Anonymous | reply 124 | January 2, 2023 2:50 PM |
It might be serious. They don't send out lifeflight helicopters just because someone has money, the weather has been stormy this weekend and the flight might have been risky, depending on when Renner needed to be flown around. They don't risk the lives of pilots and flight nurses without reason.
by Anonymous | reply 126 | January 2, 2023 2:56 PM |
R125 Too Soon!
Stop making fun of this tragedy and live proper Mary M!
by Anonymous | reply 127 | January 2, 2023 2:59 PM |
I know you're having fun being a contrarian, r123, but people didn't even know if Oedenkirk was alive for the better part of a day, let alone what had happened to make him collapse. So yes, there was information that was worth reporting during that time, and TMZ didn't report jack shit.
R124's example is another good one, I'd forgotten about that but he's right.
by Anonymous | reply 128 | January 2, 2023 3:00 PM |
(Although I think r124 means Takeoff, not Offset.)
by Anonymous | reply 129 | January 2, 2023 3:02 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 130 | January 2, 2023 3:05 PM |
I'm wondering if he was hit by a commercial snowplow if it was dark outside. If so, he's done.
by Anonymous | reply 131 | January 2, 2023 3:08 PM |
R128 then I guess the people they have working there to get the scoop on celebrity health issues and deaths increasingly have sucked. If Bob had died, they would’ve reported it, just like any other entertainment outlet. I can’t stand TMZ just like many, but in the past they’ve had better inside sources when it comes to the lowdown on health scares and deaths. Apparently not anymore.

by Anonymous | reply 135 | January 2, 2023 3:26 PM |

More info from TMZ (of course):
According to a neighbor, the plowing machine -- called a Snow Cat -- accidentally ran over one of Jeremy's legs, and he was losing a lot of blood from the injury. We're told another neighbor, who's a doctor, was able to put a tourniquet on his leg until paramedics arrived.

"a Snow Cat -- accidentally ran over one of Jeremy's legs, and he was losing a lot of blood from the injury. We're told another neighbor, who's a doctor, was able to put a tourniquet on his leg until paramedics arrived."
That sounds pretty bad, because tourniquets are bad bad news, but the odds are he'll survive if they got him to a good trauma center in time. But I don't know that there is a good trauma center nearby, Reno is the closest city and it's a shithole.
However, he's very fit and close to the prime of life, and if it's just his leg that's injured he's very likely to survive if he gets decent trauma care. But it may take him a very long time to recover from a snowplow leg injury, and I don't think he'll be shooting the second season of "Hawkeye" any time soon. Which is a pity, it's a great show.

They're saying it was a Snow Cat which I think is the same vehicle used in "The Shining," the one Scatman Crothers drove.

Look. Renner is part of the Marvel Universe. He is also busy. He's a working actor so there's an investment there. And you better believe his family and his agent and Marvel are going to lock this down until they have a plan, and a definitive prognosis about his future. "Long recovery" "Rehab" etc. are all code words. Now if he really did lose an arm and a legy,We may not get confirmation for a long time. But there is no way they could categorize him as "critical but stable" so soon, if he sustained that kind of injury. They would have said, "Critical." PEriod. The fact he was medivacked out says this is extremely serious.

by Anonymous | reply 225 | January 2, 2023 7:36 PM |
OK. The DM has an update. Apparently his vehicle safety switch failed and it ran over his leg. A doctor/neighbor put on a tourniquet to prevent the massive blood loss he was experiencing and there's a video of the helicopter evacuating him. Along with photos of the property where he was working. He sure plowed a lot of snow. He tweeted that he was revving up for his third round shortly before his accident. So the earlier rumor of losing an arm and a leg is apparently not true, and apparently he did have massive blood loss. The way this reads, he could have lost part of his leg, or his foot or maybe he just mangled it.
by Anonymous | reply 226 | January 2, 2023 7:40 PM |
He was putting on his eyeliner in the rearview mirror. You're never supposed to apply your makeup while driving.

by Anonymous | reply 229 | January 2, 2023 7:44 PM |
I was just thinking. It was really cold outside when the accident happened. Now, if a limb or a portion of a limb was severed, maybe they packed it in ice and they're trying to reattach it.

by Anonymous | reply 235 | January 2, 2023 8:11 PM |
R226, what about your “update,” which is really just rehashed info we already know, makes you think he didn’t lose an arm and/or a leg?
And if a physician applied a tourniquet in the field, more than likely that limb to which it was applied cannot be saved.
by Anonymous | reply 236 | January 2, 2023 8:13 PM |
A lot of war injuries to limbs get a tourniquet and the limb is saved. The tourniquet is to stop the bleeding, it doesn't mean the limb can't be saved. The devil is in the details. He was lucky that a doctor was nearby and attended to him.
by Anonymous | reply 237 | January 2, 2023 8:21 PM |
According to the Mayo Clinic, it takes 4-6 hours for a tourniquet to cause irreparable harm. But what do they know?
by Anonymous | reply 238 | January 2, 2023 8:22 PM |
R86- I’m a relative of Jeremy. This is all very scary.
by Anonymous | reply 239 | January 2, 2023 8:24 PM |
The point isn’t the timeframe of a tourniquet leading to damage, it’s that more than likely if a tourniquet needed to be applied, that limb is FUBAR.
by Anonymous | reply 240 | January 2, 2023 8:25 PM |
The tourniquet is supposed to be loosened and tightened again every hour or two.
by Anonymous | reply 241 | January 2, 2023 8:25 PM |
A "war injury" might merely involve shrapnel. If his leg was run over by a plow that weighs thousands of pounds, you would not expect the limb to be salvageable.

I'm in healthcare. Over 35 years. ECMO Specialist. Critical care, transports, NICU/PICU, CCU, ER etc. Since March 2020 taking care of Covid patients.
"Critical but stable condition" And that's what we tell the families of Covid patients who are on ECMO.
Also took care of a patient(3 years ago) who had his leg ripped off which was re attached in OR successfully. We had this patient on ECMO for a month and he actually after a 6 month stay in hospital walked out. This patient was 19 and in excellent health. It's very possible Renner is on ECMO from blood loss.

Pretty usre they meant a lawsuit from Marvel, not against, R255 - though I can't see any basis.
by Anonymous | reply 256 | January 2, 2023 8:59 PM |
R255, Marvel would sue the snowplow manufacturer.
R25q, it says upthread that the safety mechanism failed. I am assuming he got out for any number of reasons, and assumed he was ok because the safety mechanism was on. Sort of how I feel going around a car if I know the parking break is on.

Damnit I meant r252^.
by Anonymous | reply 258 | January 2, 2023 9:01 PM |
There is no basis for Marvel to sue. They can't claim any damages. Any actor can be replaced in a role. The five million iterations of Batman should make that clear enough.

IRCC the family of Anton Yelchin successfully sued the car manufacturer because of a faulty parking brake.

[R260] Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation is ECMO. Look it up.
by Anonymous | reply 264 | January 2, 2023 9:06 PM |
I think some of these actors take their on-screen roles a little too seriously sometimes and think they are the actual superheroes that they portray, that they are invincible and will never die, and maybe get a bit careless about their personal safety, thinking in the back of their heads that the normal rules don't really apply to them, because they aren't like "normal people."
If you play with big machines, you better make damn sure you're taking all the safety precautions necessary because you CAN get maimed or killed. Then again, we don't really know what exactly happened, do we?
Somewhat related: Matthew Perry was also apparently on an ECMO when he had his bowel issues and he walked out of the hospital as well.
by Anonymous | reply 265 | January 2, 2023 9:08 PM |
R265 - There is no indication Renner was being reckless with the snowplow.

I've never watched Fox News in my life and as far as I'm concerned, Trump could be obliterated from the face of the earth and nothing of value would be lost. Your comments are ridiculous. I observed that actors often do seem to think they are invincible and no doubt it has something to do with their immeasurable wealth and maybe something to do with the superhero characters they play. How, exactly, does that align me with Fox News and/or Trump?

And I hope that all is well with him. I don't care much for him as an actor and don't watch superhero movies anymore because it's become so tiresome as a genre. But as a human being, I don't think he deserves any pain and suffering that he is going through, whatever the circumstances and cause for the accident. Period. End of story.

I said Marvel will sue the manufacturer, as well as the family will sue the manufacturer.
Marvel will sue because they lost a major actor in their franchise. They may not have a solid case, but they will sue anyhow and take their chances. It's very possible they will receive a small settlement out of court just to get a piece of the action (why not ?) and the manufacturer will want the suit to go away.
If he survives, he will sue - and win a major settlement in or out of court.
If he doesn't survive, his family / survivors will sue - and win a major settlement in or out of court.

More video, obtained by TMZ, shows Jeremy's Snowcat being towed away on Sunday night, several hours after the accident.
A source close to Jeremy tells us his injuries are "extensive" -- along with his leg, other parts of his body have been injured.

I've always thought he was a hottie. A little tight assed munchkin. I hope he pulls through okay.
He's a real working man outside of his entertainment life. He buys and renovates houses and does a lot of the work himself. I saw one he did that was incredible. I think he put it on the market for $25 million. I admire a wealthy man who doesn't throw money away hiring someone else to do something he can do for himself.

Sacramento has some big trauma hospitals, some of which can do ECMO. But the news stories I read said he's in Nevada, and if true that probably means Reno or Vegas. I hope they got him somewhere capable of dealing with a trauma of this level, because he isn't getting moved in tonight's storm.
by Anonymous | reply 337 | January 2, 2023 11:57 PM |
Was it confirmed he’s on ECMO? I thought that was just a rumor.
by Anonymous | reply 338 | January 2, 2023 11:59 PM |
He’s in good hands in Reno because the hospital there is Renown. Not that it’s any good, it’s just called Renown. Just kidding, the hospital there is fine (it was called Washoe Med when I lived there). That would be nearest, he’s up on Mt. Rose on the edge of Reno. The next closest large hospitals would be in Sacramento or the Bay Area. There’s no earthly reason to take him to Vegas.
I was living in there when Sonny Bono had his skiing accident, and remember the first reports that someone had died on the slopes before the media announced it was him. Sonny may have been DOA though. Anyhow, I hope this has a better outcome for Renner.

If they're still saying he's in "critical condition", then he's on a ventilator. They may have left him intubated if they anticipate he'll be going back to surgery several times over the next few days if the injuries are severe. It's possible they're saying he's "conversant" because they're waking him up periodically to check his neuro status and letting him nod yes or no to questions, then sedating him again.

The only Level 1 Trauma Center in Nevvada is in Las Vegas, and Sacramento is geographically much closer. So if he's in Reno and not at the closest Level 1 Traum Center, hopefully that's because he doesn't need Leve 1 care.
But it's more likely that the weather kept him from getting further than Reno. That's one reason to think twice about living up in the lovely mountains, in an emergency it can be very difficult to get help.

I think Jeremy is going to make it. It will be a very long recovery and he may very well lose his leg if he hasn't already. I suspect the first surgery was emergency surgery which they could not do until they had stabilized him, he lost a lot of blood. If he survives the first surgery, he will likely be scheduled for another surgery if he is strong enough. My guess is that the next 72 hours will be critical to his future survival. If he takes a bad turn it will be in the next two or three days.

Mostly because of a small group of women who posted here years ago about him being violent and closeted. They loved him and then flipped to hating him, don't remember why.. There were threads about his former wife years ago that were very similar to the Armie Hammer threads (minus cannibalism). The thing about DL is that a troll or two with an obsession about an actor can pretty easily turn the celebrity in question into someone who is "hated by DL."

It's possible to survive crush injuries to the chest and a mangled leg, although the best-case scenario is that he'll be in the hospital for weeks and needs months of rehabilitation.
The worst-case scenarios involve multiple organ failure and death, and it's too bad he isn't at a level 1 trauma center. His odds would be better if he were.

R399 you seem obtuse. The neighbor happened to be a doctor and immediately applied a tourniquet to his leg injury to stave off the loss of blood. And you seem like—no, are—an arrogant asshole. Nothing was said in that post that he didn’t have chest injuries. The point was, in addition to his potential crushing injuries he obviously had external blood loss as well, since the doctor applied the tourniquet.
Now, get off your high fucking horse and suck its dick, you festering cunt.

I'm thinking that maybe he got out of the vehicle for some reason when he had it in park but still running. When you step out of the cab you have to walk over those super wide metal tracks and it popped back into gear and it starting moving and the tracks pulled him underneath them because he wasn't able to jump off in time.

This is true. If someone who has suffered a "crush injury to the chest" is breathing on his own, without a ventilator, this soon after the initial trauma, that's GREAT! The crush injury to the chest isn't as horrific as it might have been, and hopefully he isn't cascading into multiple organ failure and death, although that can happen days after the trauma.
I wish him and his leg the best of luck and the speediest possible recovery, which isnt going to be speedy at all. I hope he's more patient than the average spoiled Hollywood actor, because he's going to need patience.
Do you think it's awkward when nurses have attend to the bodily functions of a famous person?
It's just another day on the job. My mother was a nurse at Hartford Hospital and also worked at the Institute of Living. They had celebrity patients here and there and they treated them just like everyone else. When you work in a hospital trauma unit you don't care who the patient is.

The Mayor of Kingstown is excellent largely thanks to his steady performance.
Hard pressed to find an audience for this when the shitshow in congress is still going on.
Yeah, between the fight in Congress for Speaker and the coverage of Damar Hamlin, Renner got very little coverage by comparison.

Shut your goddamn mouth about Kobe R515 its bad karma to speak I'll of the dead. I also can't stand a judgemental priss who more than likely has a graveyard worth of skeletons in their own closet, pointing fingers at others. Lucky for you this site allows you to be anonymous.
by Anonymous | reply 554 | January 4, 2023 10:37 AM |
Who cares about where YOU stand, R554? This is an anonymous site. No one cares. Shut your own mouth.
by Anonymous | reply 555 | January 4, 2023 10:43 AM |
Is Jeremy Renner [italic]really[/italic] in hospital though? I mean, this could all be a big publicity stunt for his Chickenhawk character.
by Anonymous | reply 556 | January 4, 2023 10:47 AM |
Make me shut up bitch R555 oh that's right you can't. And stop parroting off my posts cunt I already said we're anonymous.

I think it's perfectly logical that he or his agent would want to let his fans know he's alive and on the road to recovery. To not do so would invoke bad feelings for being forced to assume the worst for such a long time.
Looking at that photo I get the feeling he only has the use of his left arm at this point.
by Anonymous | reply 560 | January 4, 2023 12:50 PM |
Shut the fuck up R554. Disgusting rape defender.
by Anonymous | reply 561 | January 4, 2023 12:53 PM |
Mayor of Kingstown is a bizarre MAGA copaganda throw back to the eighties like all of Taylor whatever his name is shows.
by Anonymous | reply 562 | January 4, 2023 12:54 PM |
R562 - it does seem kind of dated, doesn’t it? Kind of like The Wire was never made and it is set in 2002. If any one watches, the reason to do so is Renner.
by Anonymous | reply 563 | January 4, 2023 1:27 PM |
I’m glad he’s doing better but the picture in the OP…he must give great top because that face ain’t it.
How does he get cast in movies with that face?
by Anonymous | reply 564 | January 4, 2023 2:05 PM |
I do love him in The Mayor of Kingstown, but I can admit the fact that he isn't conventionally attractive makes his character seem a lot more sympathetic.

Not demanding, just sayin':
It is most helpful, when referring to a previous post, to use the DL "r#" format, even with a singled-out quote.
Context of a quoted post is a good thing.

You'll have to go fuck yourself before you can shut me up R561 first and foremost. And also Kobe was acquitted of any wrong doing but I'm not interested in going back and forth since you're simple minded enough to use labels. You can label me a disgusting rape defender and I can label you a sanctimonious insufferable cunt. Fair trade.

I think the press conference by the police and Renner posting a selfie from the hospital are efforts at damage control, specifically directed at the franchise. He also has a couple of TV series things coming out I think. One on the 15th of this month.
by Anonymous | reply 569 | January 4, 2023 4:12 PM |
Renner is homely.
by Anonymous | reply 570 | January 4, 2023 4:13 PM |
TO R568, Kobe was not acquitted of sexual assault of that white Concierge employee he raped in her ass., He had his attorneys& make her look like a slut and then the LA Lakers organization pay her over 50 million to silence her. Kobe bought his trick whore wife Vanessa a 10-million-dollar purple diamond to say "I'm sorry whore Boo"
Then, the helicopter cut thru his body, he got to watch his daughter die first. A DL just reward winner,
by Anonymous | reply 571 | January 4, 2023 4:30 PM |
I can certainly understand why he would put out a selfie in order to quash rumors that he is dying. What I can’t understand is why he would not put out some interior shots of the house today to make it clear that the horrors shown in the DM spread belonged to the previous owner.
[I’ll post a link below because you know who can’t abide links to the DM even though this is supposed to be a gossip site.]

I was in the hospital. It was right after the Titanic sinking. I was treated for hypothermia.

IKR! I mean, priorities here, people!!
Let this be a lesson for our other tasteful friends. If you’re losing limbs in the hospital and hanging onto dear life ny a thread, please have someone in your entourage post accurate pics of your abode lest everyone think you have atrocious taste after you die.
It’s just common courtesy.

After reading R571 I don't feel so bad about being a "rape defender" anymore, it's far better than celebrating the death of a child. I know now I'm superior to you and I won't being seeing you in hell.
by Anonymous | reply 576 | January 4, 2023 5:25 PM |
Uh, if knowing you’re “better” than some anonymous dude on the internet, you do you. If that helps you.
🙄

r571 it's not my job to dish out his karma, but I do believe Kobe was guilty of rape and he was not a good person.
by Anonymous | reply 578 | January 4, 2023 5:33 PM |

I can believe you are a dumb son of a bitch R578 and probably be correct but beliefs aren't facts and karma isn't a real thing.

"I think the press conference by the police and Renner posting a selfie from the hospital are efforts at damage control, specifically directed at the franchise. "
It's not clear that he's going to do any more work for Marvel Films, no season 2 of "Hawkeye" was planned, so I guess Hailee Steinfeld is the new Hawkeye now. So it's in his own interests, and the interests of the people paying for his TV show, to let the the world know that he isn't a mangled corpse or a vegetable. And he isn't, damn his luck is IN!
by Anonymous | reply 589 | January 4, 2023 9:45 PM |
We never called them “peg dolls” when I was growing up in the 70’s. What a weird term.

Renner was kinda sorta cute when he was a young actor (20s, early 30s) but the poor thing aged like milk.

One story I read said he was there with 'a family member'. If so, why couldn't they be named?
I think it was a lover's quarrel, his bf took-off in a huff, got stuck... That's when Renner got the towing vehicle and tragedy ensued.
