Re the stylist: if she offered to pull some pieces for him and said “the only thing is you have to tag me and the designers” it’s not that unusual. As someone above said he flew in last minute, but also if he really wanted to deliver on the theme that was probably a worthwhile trade off. Bash said “outrageous glamour” and with no insult to Kit, Will, or Tobie, because they still looked good and are generally pretty low key dressers, Joe was one of the only men who followed through - probably thanks in part to Holly suggesting things; I doubt pulling velvet womenswear would’ve occurred to him. Holly and Joe seem to have a pretty close relationship (she and Bash also follow and comment on one another) so even if she just helped him find and pick pieces he’d give her s shout out.

I'm surprised they don't make a bigger deal about a 14 year old and a 16 year old now actually. They say Kit is "freshly18" even if he's almost 19 and Joe was "barely 17" when he met Bash, even if he was almost 18. So a 14 year old is almost a 13 year old, which is barely a pre-teen which is almost a 12 year old according to their logic. Though they only bring up age when it's convenient. The constant harping on about how everyone hugs/ kisses/ holds hands/ spends two years joined at the hip with their platonic friends and cancelling anyone that suggests otherwise seems to have stopped at least in the higher profile accounts.

It felt like the brutality of the autumn attacks on Joe and Bash followed by Kit’s coming out and their subsequent wholesale retreat from social media and the twitter fanbase forced some vague sense of reality into their dysfunctional online world. Nothing too life changing but enough of a sense of unease to make them think in any brief flashes of self awareness that maybe just maybe they were the problem and should give it a rest.

Then after Brazil in particular it just became so ridiculous to deny the ratios got uncomfortable and they seemed to mostly give up or at least shut up

I felt compelled to have a look in the end and it was basically as expected. From everything apparently settling down we have now moved to complete cancellation even by the die hard Bash sympathisers among the big accounts. Interesting that it seems to have drawn the attention of some accounts with no connection to the Heartstopper fanbase who seem pretty horrified at the apparent irrational, disproportionate and unprovoked wave of hate against a young actor having no prior knowledge of how the fans conduct themselves and their vendetta against Bash.

There are a few trying to stand against the tide with futile defensive attempts at reason. It is a waste of time they need to just ignore until it eventually calms down.

He also isn't the best poser at events - he tends to do this sort of awkward closed mouth half smile that juts his jaw out in a strange way. Like people say, he's much better looking in motion! I thought his attractiveness varied in Heartstopper - some angles and lightings didn't do him any favours and I wouldn't have described him as particularly attractive, but then in other scenes with softer lighting and certain angles, he was pretty good looking. Having done some research he is a relatively small time author in the same genre and target audience as Heartstopper trying to get someone to pick up his film adaptation. I can only assume he is bitter and vindictive against Heartstopper’s success or perhaps he asked some from the cast, most likely Bash by the focus of his hate, to join his project and they turned him down. The way he has moved into the mass of the most toxic fan accounts and knew exactly how to get their attention suggests he has been watching the twitter fanbase for a while. By the responses he also seems to be blocking anyone who challenges him including at least some trans people.

I am not sure what impact this will have on his career plans but his behaviour beneath the cloak of being an offended non binary person is targeted, openly malicious and as unhinged as the teens he is now playing with who were themselves the ones largely responsible for driving Joe and Kit off of twitter.
