The theory I have is good-looking men have their fair share of attractive women and just find most of them dull and boring. Plus attractive women have little to no sense of loyalty if the man does not hold up to their standard. Many attractive women also don't mind ugly men if they are charming, successful and have a high status and they enjoy being the status of beautiful one in the relationship. Having an attractive male partner can be threatening to their egos. So attractive men find it more ego-boosting to be with an average woman who is likely be loyal to them, turn a blind eye on them if they cheat and won't hold them to as high a standard. Plus a woman may make up for her plainness by having an actual personality and charm that is endearing.

This is mean, but I think Eddie realized early that he was a working actor who they tried to make happen and nothing stuck. I'm not saying that he doesn't love LeeAnn and isn't happy in his marriage, but it's just as easy to fuck and marry a plain girl with 60 million dollars in the bank and residuals and royalties coming in annually as it to fuck and marry a hot broke chick. Life is about choices... and comfort.

I always hear about mothers competing with daughters, but I wonder how sons feel when they have good looking fathers. I knew a guy who was gorgeous, on Cibrian’s level, he was married to an Asian woman and the son looked 100% Asian and nothing like the dad. He wasn’t good looking at all.

Straight men don't compete about looks usually. And sons mainly compare their material success to their fathers. Because material success is the major key to getting women for straight men. Gay men compete in the looks arena because men of all orientations care more about looks in their partner than material success. Even sugar daddies have to look good to get the type of sugar babies they want.
