I'm getting my work peeps L'Occitane boxed sets; another stress case is getting a Dr. Teal's Lavender Soothe & Sleep gift set. I got a sibling a flannel robe, pj bottoms and socks; my best friend a watch; and my husband a collectible doll he wanted and a set of his favorite team pajamas.

I got my brother and his family one of those huge Swiss Colony sausage and cheese fests with like 50 different little things in it. I always wanted one of those when I was a kid.

R7 - that cracked me up (no pun intended) since I live on a pecan farm and all we give to everyone for Christmas, every Christmas, is pecans.

Was at walmart checkout line yesterday and the upper class whit karen wanted to know from the clerk if the multiple gift cards she was buying were guaranteed by wal mart . The clerk had to leave and ask service desk. No they arent she said, we can't do that. The karen huffed and almost hissed but she bought them anyway.

$15 Subway gift cards?

It would be cheaper to just kick people in the stomach. You'd get the same result!

There's a Buc-ee's ("The World's Largest Convenience Store!") about an hour away from me, so I went there and bought people who have everything some interesting food items, to wit: pecan honey butter, garlic-stuffed olives, pecan pralines, "Buc-ee's Beaver Nuggets" (just for fun), and an assortment of nuts covered with (I think) brown sugar.

It's an odd choice of store, I know -- but it's loaded with things for the person (who has everything) that you want to buy something for within a budget. Besides, my Visa card number got stolen (again!) and I couldn't do my usual online gift-shopping, so whaddaya gonna do?

Penzey's spices for all, including my company's Yankee Swap tonight

Soooo glad my office isn't doing Yankee Swap/Dirty Santa this year

by Anonymousreply 15December 20, 2022 3:53 PM

Dirty Santa gifts are fun except for the poor fucker who likes his gift then gets it “snatched” usually by a Karen.

What do nieces and nephews want? I'm thinking Lego for everyone. As long as I can get it cheap.
