I was getting prepared one of the many Christmas soirees I have been begged to attend when I started to put on my $200 Tom Ford silk socks when I noticed they had been destroyed by moths!!! Since I can't abide the smell of those rancid balls can any of you tell me what to use to ward of these vermin? Thank God sockless is in!
MOTH ATTACK!!!

I actually love the smell of rancid balls.

You only have one pair of socks?

Bitch you posted this same thread a year ago!

For those who are wondering, cedar oil or lavender oil, on a porous piece of wood. Not that one.
OP... Were they the Tom Ford ribbed silk socks?

I remember it too. J'accuse!!
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 18, 2022 2:25 AM |
Huh, r7? Do those oils actually work or are you saying they don't?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 18, 2022 2:38 AM |
They weren't ribbed. They had clocking up the side. I can scarcely talk of how my season has been ruined.

Keep the door open, OP, and play this outside on your laptop loud enough for the moths to hear--it will summon them outside.

And how much would you pay, R2? It is the holiday season!
by Anonymous | reply 12 | December 18, 2022 2:58 AM |
R9 They do work. Surprisingly well.

OP/R10
Kill them with fire. Philistine bastards.

Nice work R6! You have a great memory.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 18, 2022 3:11 AM |
Thanks, r13. Do u need a piece of wood per drawer, a few each in the wardrobe, pantry, linen closet?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | December 18, 2022 3:28 AM |
Wrong, R6. Last year my housekeeper threw another pair in the washing machine and then the dryer! Joke's on you! I can't keep going through these socks every year.

R16 I put a piece on hangers/in drawers for each sweater. I probably overuse them, but I'm a bit paranoid about moths. I use a combination of both, but the lavender is effective and the smell isn't as immediately noticeable or strong as cedar oil.

Picture or it didnāt happen.

The moths couldn't stand the thought of hearing those silk socks scraping-scratching-rasping across the broken calluses and rough cracked white crusts on her your feet, and then the glog sound as your varicose cankle veins make when compressed by the silk pushing them back under your skin.
But you're not as bad as the always-stupid coloring-book twat leaving her stain at R2.

Thanks, r18
