MOTH ATTACK!!!

I was getting prepared one of the many Christmas soirees I have been begged to attend when I started to put on my $200 Tom Ford silk socks when I noticed they had been destroyed by moths!!! Since I can't abide the smell of those rancid balls can any of you tell me what to use to ward of these vermin? Thank God sockless is in!

$200 Tom Ford silk socks... šŸ˜µ

by Anonymousreply 2December 18, 2022 2:05 AM

I actually love the smell of rancid balls.

Are you Rod or Todd?

You only have one pair of socks?

by Anonymousreply 5December 18, 2022 2:12 AM

Bitch you posted this same thread a year ago!

by Anonymousreply 6December 18, 2022 2:17 AM

For those who are wondering, cedar oil or lavender oil, on a porous piece of wood. Not that one.

OP... Were they the Tom Ford ribbed silk socks?

Huh, r7? Do those oils actually work or are you saying they don't?

by Anonymousreply 9December 18, 2022 2:38 AM

They weren't ribbed. They had clocking up the side. I can scarcely talk of how my season has been ruined.

by Anonymousreply 10December 18, 2022 2:42 AM

Keep the door open, OP, and play this outside on your laptop loud enough for the moths to hear--it will summon them outside.

And how much would you pay, R2? It is the holiday season!

by Anonymousreply 12December 18, 2022 2:58 AM

R9 They do work. Surprisingly well.

by Anonymousreply 13December 18, 2022 3:09 AM

OP/R10

Kill them with fire. Philistine bastards.

by Anonymousreply 14December 18, 2022 3:10 AM

Nice work R6! You have a great memory.

by Anonymousreply 15December 18, 2022 3:11 AM

Thanks, r13. Do u need a piece of wood per drawer, a few each in the wardrobe, pantry, linen closet?

by Anonymousreply 16December 18, 2022 3:28 AM

Wrong, R6. Last year my housekeeper threw another pair in the washing machine and then the dryer! Joke's on you! I can't keep going through these socks every year.

by Anonymousreply 17December 18, 2022 3:29 AM

R16 I put a piece on hangers/in drawers for each sweater. I probably overuse them, but I'm a bit paranoid about moths. I use a combination of both, but the lavender is effective and the smell isn't as immediately noticeable or strong as cedar oil.

by Anonymousreply 18December 18, 2022 3:37 AM

Picture or it didnā€™t happen.

by Anonymousreply 19December 18, 2022 3:39 AM

The moths couldn't stand the thought of hearing those silk socks scraping-scratching-rasping across the broken calluses and rough cracked white crusts on her your feet, and then the glog sound as your varicose cankle veins make when compressed by the silk pushing them back under your skin.

But you're not as bad as the always-stupid coloring-book twat leaving her stain at R2.

by Anonymousreply 20December 18, 2022 3:41 AM

Thanks, r18
