R52 Yeah. She either doesn't have good management or has poor judgment. She can probably get another comeback album like her last one but she'll need to keep up with promotion and fulfill her obligations to actually show up to the tour. She disappointed so many of her fans by cancelling her dates because she wanted to have a child. Her team though has been uploading remastered music videos of her songs that haven't been on YouTube for years. And she's more active on social media than ever before. So I think she is serious about this.

Makes sense. Doesn't NippleGate turn 20 next year.

She’s famous for cancelling shows. She cancelled a whole leg on the All For You Tour, cancelled a shitload of dates on the Rock Withchu Tour, only a few dates on the Number Ones Tour but cancelled like 2 whole legs on the Unbreakable Tour.

She’s not reliable.

R26 I think Janet's mentality is typical of someone who grew up privileged and rich. She does love music and performing but she never actually needed to do outside of having genuine interest. She didn't start out underground and worked her way to the top like Madonna, Gaga and others. She was already a child/teen celebrity and had her standard bubblegum albums before Control. In many ways, she is still pretty naive and in a bubble. No one with any real world experience would have thought that Nipplegate was a good idea. Fiona Apple and Sinnead O'Connor were young, still inexperienced in the industry and had some mental issues. Janet was 38 at the time of the Super Bowl. This is why I think Janet is so laissez-faire in regards to honoring her tour dates and will take long breaks between albums. She really doesn't care and never had to. She just made the music she wanted and just still dances and tours for a hobby.

one great song, a few good ones, she's really really overrated. any time and place is incredible i'll give her that.

Janet should consider package tours. New Kids on the Block have been performing with Debbie Gibson, New Edition and other Gen X icons. Janet could do a tour with Paula Abdul, Taylor Dane, Keith Sweat and Johnny Gill for example. Nostalgia market is strong and people want to relive their MTV watching days

I think she might actually be coheadlining this time around with Ludacris.
