House passes bill to protect same-sex marriage, sending it to Biden's desk
The House passed legislation Thursday that enshrines federal protections for marriages of same-sex and interracial couples.
The vote of 258-169 sends the Respect for Marriage Act to President Joe Biden, who has championed the bill and is expected to sign it into law. It comes after the Senate passed the same bill last week by a vote of 61-36.
Democrats were unified in favor of the bill, while most Republicans in both chambers voted against it. Thirty-nine House Republicans supported the legislation Thursday and one voted present.

The media refuses to show two men getting married. I have never seen two men in the mainstream media, it’s always lesbians. The face of gay marriage is lesbians. Anyone who says that gay men and lesbians have a shared experience is bullshitting you. Do not believe you. We do not.

It doesn't protect same sex marriage. It only mandates that once same sex marriage is no longer a federal law (soon to be), individual states will decide if they will make it legal or not - so we know12-14 states will maintain legality, the rest will not. This law says that states that make it illegal, will still have to honor marriages performed in states where it is legal - but doesn't qualify exactly what that means - so it actually means nothing at all. it's just more republican red meat to their hateful base and democrats bowing down to their owners and no one gives a shit about American's or America......the American experiment is over - may as well elect Donald Trump and get on with the Fascist Dictatorship - it's what the "elected officials" want - and since we don't vote for public servants anymore, nor are we informed or educated, this is what we get.
