TIME Magazine names Volodymyr Zelensky as ' Person of the Year'

Excellent choice !

Trump must be throwing ketchup at the walls in Mar A Fatso as he's passed over once again.

Absolutely deserved.

by Anonymousreply 1December 7, 2022 7:38 PM

Now drag queens are invading TIME magazine. I'm sick to my stomach!

He’s my daddy.

by Anonymousreply 3December 7, 2022 7:45 PM

WTF, R2? Is that real? I know Zelensky began as a comedian, but...

by Anonymousreply 4December 7, 2022 7:52 PM

He’s apparently many things 🥂 cheers 🙌🏼bravo

by Anonymousreply 5December 7, 2022 7:56 PM

Yes, R2 is real - that was apparently a Single Ladies parody from years ago

by Anonymousreply 6December 7, 2022 8:08 PM

He'll be forgotten in the future. He isn't important now, even.

I'm totally lost as to what the bourgeois fixation on the Ukraine is about.

by Anonymousreply 7December 7, 2022 8:11 PM

Remember when Trump claimed in 2017 that TIME called to tell him they wanted his permission to name him 'man of the year' the year before (2016) and he denied the honor and asked them to pick someone else ?

Within hours, TIME Magazine made a public statement that this was absolutely untrue - they would never call the person beforehand and 'ask' for their permission AND he was never, ever even remotely mentioned as 'man of the year'.

by Anonymousreply 8December 7, 2022 8:12 PM

So was Hitler.

by Anonymousreply 9December 7, 2022 8:16 PM

Why is he “Person of the Year” when he is very clearly a man?

by Anonymousreply 10December 7, 2022 8:17 PM

They officially changed the title to 'person' decades ago, when they finally started picking women. Before that, it was always a man - so 'man of the year' reflected the times.

by Anonymousreply 11December 7, 2022 8:25 PM

Iranian women were named “Heroes of the Year”.

by Anonymousreply 12December 7, 2022 8:41 PM

No one has suffered more or done more to spread kindness the ME and what’s his name. Sad that Time magazine is RACIST and cannot recognize the global impact of a woman of color.

by Anonymousreply 13December 7, 2022 8:41 PM

R7 something-something about a raging war and the daily slaughtering of civilians..? I dunno.. heard something about it..

by Anonymousreply 14December 7, 2022 8:43 PM

Imagine Putin's narc rage now. LOL.

by Anonymousreply 15December 7, 2022 8:54 PM

Rest assured R15, Putin will be shitting himself once again at this news.

Putin and his buddy Trump both seem to circling the drain simultaneously.

The world will be a much better place when both of these two assholes are gone.

by Anonymousreply 16December 7, 2022 9:27 PM

Congratulations R7. English is improve.

by Anonymousreply 17December 7, 2022 9:28 PM

Very well deserved. Zelensky has excelled as a wartime leader of Ukraine and has united and galvanized Ukrainians.

by Anonymousreply 18December 7, 2022 9:45 PM

Good call. He seems to be a great leader.

by Anonymousreply 19December 7, 2022 10:20 PM

I am testing to see if my comment shows up.

by Anonymousreply 20December 7, 2022 10:26 PM

Whoo. Okay. Carry on. Sorry for the interruption. I’m R19 and R20 and I somehow put myself on ignore.

by Anonymousreply 21December 7, 2022 10:35 PM

How/why would dump ever think he would be Person of the Year?

by Anonymousreply 22December 8, 2022 12:14 AM

Doesn't he own fake TIME magazine framed covers?

by Anonymousreply 23December 8, 2022 12:18 AM

He could've received this honor with his looks alone - what a hottie!

by Anonymousreply 24December 8, 2022 12:20 AM

When the war is over he will probably get the Nobel Peace Prize, if he is still alive.

by Anonymousreply 25December 8, 2022 12:24 AM

Trump owns many fake magazine covers which says he was chosen 'man of the year' by that particular magazine - and he has them framed. We saw the in interviews.

by Anonymousreply 26December 8, 2022 12:29 AM

The far Left hates him for some reason. They’re all complying over this. Commies gonna commie, I guess.

by Anonymousreply 27December 8, 2022 12:33 AM

R24, cut the shit. He’s hardly hot.

by Anonymousreply 28December 8, 2022 12:34 AM

R27, I don’t believe that’s true.

by Anonymousreply 29December 8, 2022 12:34 AM

The RIGHT choice

by Anonymousreply 30December 8, 2022 12:35 AM

The Pro-Putin GOP right-wing hates him too.

by Anonymousreply 31December 8, 2022 12:38 AM

Those were loving Father's Day presents from his children.

by Anonymousreply 32December 8, 2022 12:40 AM

Is r7 stupid as fuck or what?!

by Anonymousreply 33December 8, 2022 1:11 AM

Trump was Time's Person of the Year in 2016. It's not the accolade some seem to think it is. They've had Hitler, Stalin (twice!), Bezos, Dubya, Putin, Zuckerberg, Elon Musk. Looking through the list it's a lot of politicians and more recently oligarchs. It's more like a 'notable' person.

by Anonymousreply 34December 8, 2022 3:29 AM

R7 You jealous cunt, no one will remember you that's for sure!

by Anonymousreply 35December 8, 2022 3:47 AM

Putin is probably rage-shitting himself as we speak.

And there's nothing his lil' minions like R7 can do about it. Sad!

by Anonymousreply 36December 8, 2022 9:33 AM

The interior walls in Mar A Largo are covered in ketchup and mustard today.

by Anonymousreply 37December 8, 2022 12:46 PM

The title "Person of the year" is a bit misleading as has positive connotations, but actually they select "a person, a group, an idea, or an object that for better or for worse ... has done the most to influence the events of the year"

Explains why so such human slime has been "honoured" over the years
