He loves motley Crue and every time we would do it he would start crying that we weren't singing the right words because we'd sing cow cow on the level or something like that and it would make him cry every damn time.

R20 why would there need to be more to it than just those DUIs. He killed someone got off for it but then still drives drunk and then has the nerve to complain that his 2-week sentence was too harsh. It's clear he doesn't care whether his actions could result in somebody else getting injured and dying. That makes him an awful person in my eyes and there doesn't have to be but I'm sure there is more but that's plenty.

R54 yeah, I do think Skylar's death as well as Razzle's really devastated and changed Vince. Over those few years, he went from a happy-go-lucky entirely selfish asshole party slut who didn't care who he hurt, to a depressed lowkey humble guy who just wants to do his job and take care of his family and go home. It's hard to mock someone who's watched his infant little girl die in his arms. My heart goes out to poor Beth Lynn, too (Skylar's mother). You never get over a tragedy like that, and you can never square it away or make it make sense emotionally. Life can be cruel like that.

Fwiw I do perceive that Vince has tried to keep himself in check, do a lot less harm and be more considerate as a man since Skylar's death, which is more than his other bandmates have bothered to do (cf. Nikki exploiting homeless people and disowning his pregnant daughter, Mick disowning his disabled daughter, Tommy assaulting Pammy and beating up on his sons). He's the best of a very bad bunch, it's probably fair to say.

Tommy Lee's sister Athena (who is so much nicer, funnier and more likeable than her brother) has also gone through cancer, and has hosted charity events in honour of Skylar. One episode of 'Ex Wives of Rock' was dedicated to remembering Skylar and raising awareness about cancer.

Also, the overprotective and weirdly doting way Nikki often talks about Vince (despite screwing him over royally a good few times in the past, but who's counting) really makes it sound like he's defending a lover. Nikki doesn't go to bat like that for anyone else, really (except maybe Mick Mars because of his disabilities). The two of them have always had this bond that defies all logic and circumstance and the fact that they don't actually see eye to eye all that much. It's like they're not friends or even always friendly, but passionate about each other anyway. They were kind of the proto Slash/Axl in that respect.
