Michael is going to be in Season 4 of Never Have I Ever, he is in a couple of episodes of HIMYF, and he has a Netflix movie coming out, a nice little Het Rom Com/YA movie. He is very ambitious to work and will agree to anything for money it appears. And yeah I saw his squat picture of Keyvan working out. Keyvan IMO is the guy who may come out in a few years. I follow the cast of Love Victor, and it seems like Michael has bought a house which he and some friends are renovating all by themselves. The Kid is quite handy. He does plaster work, dry wall, carpentry, and builds his own bed. Michael isdriven. He's determined to be famous...and rich, and he seems to meet no strangers. Has a lot of friends.

Michael did it right then, because in Hollywood it’s all about who you know and not what you know or your talent. He’s a limited young actor but he’s cute and “ethnic” so he checks some boxes. On top of that he clearly built a good relationship with the Victor showrunners where they will cast him again. That’s how you do it. If he can’t find much work I’m sure they’re willing to throw a few episodes of something his way.

Ryan Murphy does it with his favorites too. Scorsese too. Tarantino too. They all do.

Of course it was very fictional, but that was intentional, and part of the appeal. And it really wasn't Disney's doing, it's more so the tone set by the original author of the books, as well as the original team that did the film and tv show. It was always meant to be a feel-good show, just like the movie it was based on.

The target demographic has nothing to do with that. The limited episodes are just a reflection of what streaming shows do vs traditional/old-school television. As well as studios probably wanting to limit budgets. But it was a very good show and deserved more support from the parent company. At the very least, a proper full ending. And while the main demographic may have been young people, it was loved by plenty of adults (young and old), as we never really got shows like this when we were young.

Then he's achieving the opposite effect. "Hardcore thirst traps" and "big bulge" isn't just appealing to women, esp. in today's social media world. (Otherwise folks on Onlyfans would be marketing to a very different demographic).

LOL! R56 here, actually that picture at R57 would make about three of me. I'm a guy, and I've been following the Love Victor gang on Insta ever since I saw the series. Sometimes when I watch one of these series, for example, Game of Thrones, I like to focus on the actors who are new or relatively new and follow them for a while to see how things go for them careerwise. It's a combination of curiosity, and also wanting to see more of their work.

With Game of Thrones, for example I was hoping the guy who played Crazy Ramsey Bolton to do better. Alfie Allen is so talented I wanted him to have a successful career. Jack Dempsey too. (Gendry.) I guess I knew Kit would do well, but I was surprised Emilia Clarke hasn't had more success. Maisie too. Maisie Williams is very talented. Nicolaj Coster Waldau should be huge but he chooses such garbage material it seems like he is rapidly fading into obscurity, ...but I digress.

What was interested in with the LV cast, is predicting who'd become successful and I feel like Michael is so ambitious and networks so effectively he will do very well. He's not just popular with the cast, but he is very popular with the show runners. He seems to have built a network with casting directors, the crew, the make up people, etc. so he knows what's going on out here as far as opportunities go. HE also attaches himself socially to guys who are similarly disposed like Nico Greetham and Mason Gooding.

Michael has hustle. And without hustle you can't survive in that field. He does a lot of crap like "Hamster and Gretel" and random podcasts, to pay the bills. But how he decides to present himself is a huge factor. Based on his p hoto shoots, he's clearly promoting a sexier version of himself.

As for the others, I think Mason Gooding should be doing better than he is. Anthony Keyvan will do very well and so will Anthony Turpel. Rachel (Mia) and Bebe Wood (Lake) have tons of talent. Interestingly, the ringer in the bunch is George Sear. He hasn't booked anything that I know of. Isabella (Pilar) will do well too. She is very talented. On the basis of talent, Mason, Anthony Turpel, and Anthony Keyvan are probably the strongest actors. Michael seems to have a great personality, but his acting chops are probably B-.

Good post, R58. I remember that Mason Gooding is already Hollywood royalty, so he probably never goes after roles aggressively. Sear is also very short and has a limited left time to play teenager roles. So maybe he’s a bit discouraged or maybe he just can’t land anything.

Michael is 23 and Mason is 26-27. Mason has the real chops to go the distance. He graduated from NYU, he writes and he is a good actor. He needs more work. He gets cast in movies like Scream. I guess those teen horror movies pay well and they make money, but MAson could be serious. So can Anthony Keyvan. I think Anthony is young. Maybe 22-23.

Anthony Keyvan is not that impressive acting-wise. He's as limited as most on these types of shows. Mason has that Hollywood heartthrob 'IT' factor for sure, and a good screen presence.. Turpel is actually quite good, and rather underestimated, and can do drama and comedy equally well. The girls were ok, with Rachel as the clear standout. George is actually quite a good actor, and more impressive than he gets credit for. Michael isn't that impressive, but like Mason, has that 'IT' factor, and both seem to know how to play the game.

R64, I thought George shined in Season 3. I didn't think he was very strong in Season 1. He seemed to grow, but then so did his character. He was subtle.
