A White Stripes appreciation thread

They were the soundtrack of my teenage years, and my appreciation for them has only deepened as I've gotten older. Bro snobs loved to shit on Meg White for her "rudimentary" drumming, but I always thought it sounded great and served the music perfectly. Jack White was and is a great guitarist. I especially loved the heavy blues rock sound on their earlier records.

I was never a huge fan but there were several songs/albums I enjoyed.

Also, I've been in Jack's record store/studio in Detroit. It's kinda cool to see a space where vinyl can be pressed.

I would like to hear the whole story from Meg's side.

Conan O’Brien is a huge fan of theirs.

It's sad they're already heading towards classic rock territory. Time flies.

I'm a big fan too. I also like Meg's simple drumming, which I think perfectly complimented Jack's over-the-top guitar playing.

They made great music together.

To me they came off as a novelty act and were overly performative.

I was obsessed with White Blood Cells.

There have been about 10 albums that I spent months listening to nonstop. That's one of them.
