In The Gloaming. I remember a touching scene where Whoopi shows her how to 'love' her son. It was a surprisingly good directorial debut from Christopher Reeve and had some nice, tender moments.
From the poll I chose Serving in Silence. At the time it was rare to get two great actresses in the same project like this. Judy Davis got to be kind of sexy in it which is unusual for her.
