Alec is still unknown. Shawn killed his career that peaked in 2018 by releasing mediocre songs, pushing that PR showmance with Cameltoe that people clowned online and then canceling his tour which likely angered venues and his label especially since his recent songs flopped. Alec has potential as he's still young and John Mayer always pushes his newest boyfriends.
