What do we think of Courtney Love's looks?

Kevyn Aucoin did excellent work on her in the late 90's.

Cheap and nasty.

I love her early 90s look, and after she sobered up in 96 and started dressing nicely I think she was pretty in 98/99. Reminds me of Cameron Diaz in the face.

I met her a couple of years ago at the movies, and she was very sweet.

I have always thought Courtney was and is beautiful. She photographs well too. Her music videos from the Celebrity Skin album really show how attractive she is. She started to go a little too far with the cosmetic surgeries a decade ago, but seems to have pulled back on that. The other thing is, she can wear a gown beautifully. She's raunchy and not always well spoken, but she is talented. Kurt nd Courtney's Daughter is pretty too. Years ago when I saw The People vs Larry Flynt, I was surprised at how well she did in that movie. I thought her and Woody Harrelson were very good together.

She was adorable circa 1991 after her first (of many) nose jobs. Very striking features. Things got even more striking in the 2000s, but not for good reasons.

R5 I think she is highly intelligent but a very disorganized thinker, so even when the things she's saying are highbrow or intellectual, she tends to come across as not very well-spoken. She is high-functioning autistic, which might account for this.

She has ended up with very rich lady who is a bohemian face. It's a face one sees in very glamorous watering holes around the world. She was certainly nice when she glammed up after having been a punk and a grunge goddess but frankly her early Jolie laide years, or just flat out laide, were the most compelling.

I love her look (and sound) here, but I would not want to smell (or touch) her. She would likely feel the same way.

I think she first got her face overhauled for the Oscars in 1997? She thought she was gonna be a big movie star and got PREPARED.

She could have been a star. She seemed to piss it away or walk away. The talent was there and the star presence.

She was surprisingly lovely in "Julie Johnson" with Lili Taylor, feathered hair and all.

There was a publicity still for "America's Sweetheart" that showed a glimpse of her pussy but I only saw it once and never again. She's a curiosity, in many ways, like a conventional iconoclast. She sets herself up to tear herself down.

She died

Her dad was a piece of shit, outright contributing to books in which he accused her of killing Cobain. He seemed like a nut. Courtney has claimed he never abused her, but I remember in an interview she did with Carrie Fisher where she admitted that her mother taking away his custody was “the best thing she ever did” because he “totally would have molested me.” The guy seemed like a creep, and that’s probably where a lot of her mental issues come from.

Her mom is not really any better (she also wrote a book about raising—or rather, not raising—Courtney) but she otherwise seems like a typical, semi-harmless privileged hippie.
