Christine McVie is selling her stuff on Julien’s.

Most of it looks like crap she got from world market, pier one and Tuesday morning.

She looks a lot like JK Rowling

by Anonymousreply 1November 25, 2022 6:25 PM

OP, the Chinese and Art Deco stuff is high quality. It’s the real deal.

by Anonymousreply 2November 25, 2022 6:28 PM

Horrid taste. She should’ve just donated that stuff to a few thrift shops.

by Anonymousreply 3November 25, 2022 6:30 PM

What an odd thing to do.

by Anonymousreply 4November 25, 2022 6:32 PM

Seriously? Did she even actually use any of this shit? This looks like some random crap I could have picked up at Burlington, Gabes, or TJ Maxx, or a thrift store.

by Anonymousreply 5November 25, 2022 6:33 PM

Lol, R5! It does look like that stuff..😂

by Anonymousreply 6November 25, 2022 6:44 PM

Who would want this shit?

"This is a lamp once owned by the lady from Fleetwood Mac!"

"Oh, Stevie Nicks!?"

"No, the other one"

by Anonymousreply 7November 25, 2022 6:47 PM

This junk will go at a premium now.

by Anonymousreply 8November 30, 2022 7:12 PM

Damn, that was fast. She only died today and already an auction on Saturday? It took a year to get Joan Didion's household crap to come to auction.

by Anonymousreply 9November 30, 2022 7:15 PM

She daid!

by Anonymousreply 10November 30, 2022 7:17 PM

And everything smells of smoke because of the Dennis Wilson fire.

by Anonymousreply 11November 30, 2022 7:18 PM

R9, I suppose they started liquidating the estate once they knew her illness was terminal.

by Anonymousreply 12November 30, 2022 7:24 PM

I want the brass hunting horn.

by Anonymousreply 13November 30, 2022 7:24 PM

[quote]I suppose they started liquidating the estate once they knew her illness was terminal.

It takes a good year to mount an auction.

by Anonymousreply 14November 30, 2022 7:25 PM

can't believe she's auctioning off shit from abercrombie and fitch!!! so classy!

by Anonymousreply 15November 30, 2022 7:41 PM

I guess she can finally stop thinking about tomorrow 🥲

by Anonymousreply 16November 30, 2022 7:45 PM

she must have known she was dying...

by Anonymousreply 17November 30, 2022 7:49 PM

she is even selling a fucking stapler? seriously?

by Anonymousreply 18November 30, 2022 7:52 PM

How much for the stapler?

by Anonymousreply 19November 30, 2022 8:31 PM

R18, Mick Fleetwood listed the stapler and tape dispenser

by Anonymousreply 20November 30, 2022 8:33 PM

I really want those black, lace-up Zadig & Voltaire combat boots.

by Anonymousreply 21November 30, 2022 8:39 PM

OMG, this auction is the trashiest shite I’ve seen in a while. The day after her death?!?!?

by Anonymousreply 22November 30, 2022 8:51 PM

"Most of it looks like crap she got from world market, pier one and Tuesday morning."

Honestly, that's what a ton of people's stuff looks like - across a broad spectrum of people.

by Anonymousreply 23November 30, 2022 8:51 PM

OMG. I missed that she died. I can't really say it's crazy, she was old. But, still, it's shocking to me. RIP.

by Anonymousreply 24November 30, 2022 8:53 PM

R22 It's been scheduled for a while

by Anonymousreply 25November 30, 2022 8:54 PM

Just wait for the horror show that will be Stevie’s garage sale.

by Anonymousreply 26November 30, 2022 8:56 PM

Mick Fleetwood and John McVie are auctioning their things as well, so I don’t know if it was necessarily a case where she was doing this because she was sick.

by Anonymousreply 29November 30, 2022 9:58 PM

i noticed a lot of stuff signed by Mick Fleetwood. many are bidding on those items.

by Anonymousreply 30November 30, 2022 10:06 PM

I would buy some of that chinoiserie. It looks high quality.

by Anonymousreply 31November 30, 2022 10:09 PM

I suspect this was a gift from Stevie...

by Anonymousreply 32November 30, 2022 10:10 PM

It’s all junk. Trying to get rid of it.

by Anonymousreply 33November 30, 2022 10:11 PM

She died?

by Anonymousreply 34November 30, 2022 10:17 PM

I réalise its not museum pieces but some of it is a cut above contemporary Pier Export crap. And everything underbid for now. The pianos, the mahogany breakfront, not junk.

by Anonymousreply 35November 30, 2022 10:19 PM

Her taste was VERY English, but I like a lot of the stuff.

by Anonymousreply 36November 30, 2022 10:29 PM

R26 Stevie has an original Tiffany Pond Lily lamp. Not a horror at all.

by Anonymousreply 37November 30, 2022 10:49 PM

Stevie must have some good objects.

by Anonymousreply 38November 30, 2022 10:50 PM

All junk

by Anonymousreply 39November 30, 2022 10:50 PM

I would bid on the sony discman. that would be nice.

by Anonymousreply 40November 30, 2022 11:02 PM

Stevie admitting to not speaking to Christine, not even knowing she was ill, on Instagram, is telling. She’s a self-centered cunt.

by Anonymousreply 41November 30, 2022 11:06 PM

Christine died "from a short illness". Why would Stevie know if they are not friends who chat weekly?

by Anonymousreply 42November 30, 2022 11:11 PM

People are so weird.

You don't know that people grow apart and sever contact when they have outgrown a relationship?

You don't understand this?

by Anonymousreply 43November 30, 2022 11:16 PM

Who gets the money from this auction? Christine never had any children with John or any other man.

by Anonymousreply 44December 1, 2022 1:33 AM

I'll take that urn that now is full to overflowing with ashes that set off a Geiger counter.

by Anonymousreply 45December 1, 2022 1:53 AM

It's assumed these are the items not being willed to Christine's survivors?

Perhaps she had beautiful very expensive furniture and other big priced items which are not being auctioned. This auction cannot be featuring all her possessions.

by Anonymousreply 46December 1, 2022 2:19 AM

Lots of expensive musical instruments included in the auction

by Anonymousreply 47December 1, 2022 3:05 AM

Christine wasn’t currently married and didn’t have any children and I guess her family is mostly back in England, while she lived in California. She might have willed the nicer pieces of furniture to dear friends. Stevie isn’t going to be getting any of it, that’s for sure.

I realize Christine didn't have children with John MvVie or through her relationship with Dennis Wilson or with her second husband, Portuguese keyboardist and songwriter Eddy Quintela, Eddy died in 2020. Think she would have been too old when she was with Eddy, lol

Hard to believe Christine didn't have an extended family in the UK. No nieces or nephews? Christine did have an older brother. Most people who never had children usually have a sibling, or two, who had children.

I don't think Christine was still living in California, according to Wiki: "After rejoining Fleetwood Mac in 2014, McVie began spending more time in London, and put the house on the market in 2015."

by Anonymousreply 49December 1, 2022 4:06 AM

Christine was the other chick, right?

by Anonymousreply 50December 1, 2022 11:10 AM

I should have figured something was wrong when I saw this thread about her selling her things. She was one hell of a writer.

OMG! I’m sorry, I love her, but I cannot believe she filled her home with this tuff.

It is very fanciful, and tender, however, so I get it and I get her.

The blue & white vase is lovely. That is all.

by Anonymousreply 55December 8, 2022 3:45 AM

omg, I can't believe someone overpaid for that junk!

A trio of grotto style carved wood swiveling bar stools in the Baroque taste with curved winged arms, shaped narrow back, and elaborately carved dolphin bases with brass foot rails.

These stools were originally in McVie's Los Angeles home where they were frequently used by guests during numerous parties hosted by McVie.
