What say you, DL? The final word belongs to you.
That's literally just a list of major cities.

Dallas isn’t bad, with the Reunion Tower “lillipop” and neon red Pegasus.

Driving into San Francisco on the upper deck of the Bay Bridge. Marvelous!

All I know is the Manhattan skyline lost a whole helluva lot of its character when the WTC Towers fell. It’s just not the same.

“Beautiful” and “distinctive” are two different things.

R4 Agree. I’ve always thought this.

I'm partial to Atlanta. It's Gay Oz coming out of the woods (and closets) for thousands of beautiful small town hicks.

I think Atlanta photographs well. Maybe not the "most beautiful" but very nice.

Denver skyline, looking WEST. On a smaller scale: Boulder CO with the Flatirons in the background. (added note: University of Colorado Boulder campus consistently voted most beautiful US campus.

It's great running around on ecstasy and lying down in the piedmont park and staring up at it.

Chicago wins, hands-down.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | November 17, 2022 3:46 PM |
Chicago for sure!
by Anonymous | reply 13 | November 17, 2022 3:51 PM |
Oof! Didn’t see US in title.

Chicago wins easily!!! It is probably the only thing that Chicago wins easily that does not involve food, violence, racism or mayhem.

Boston's skyline is just ugly. Everything is brown.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | November 17, 2022 4:00 PM |
R4 we lost the greatest skyline in the world. No other comes close.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | November 17, 2022 4:06 PM |
Isn't the brown color a nod to its colonial history the cobblestone streets? That's what I think of when I look at it.
I've been to Boston 3 times and absolutely loved it. I know it sounds stupid, but I could *feel* the history as I walked around. It's akin to how I felt when I visited London (for the limited time I was there).

IMO Pittsburg's skyline is best viewed when coming out of the Fort Pitt tunnel and crossing over the bridge.

r21 "Pittsburg" is in Kansas. And California.
The picture you are showing is PITTSBURGH.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | November 17, 2022 4:43 PM |
Pittsburgh is lovely. R21's pic doesn't do it justice. I think the best view is from the top of Mt. Washington. - downtown, both rivers, the hilly neighborhoods to the east of downtown.
