“Magic Mike’s Last Dance” looks even worse than XXL was!

Tatum looks terrible, too.

Well what else do you expect Channing T do for the rest of his life?

by Anonymousreply 1November 16, 2022 10:49 PM

He's 42 and she's 56. They look fucking fabulous!

Tatum looked EXCELLENT in The Lost City, that stupid adventure movie with Sandra Bullock. OP just typed something provocative to get replies. Or OP is a nasty picky unfucked cunt.

by Anonymousreply 4November 16, 2022 10:56 PM

So it's Westside story meets Moulin Rouge meets a flop.

by Anonymousreply 5November 16, 2022 10:59 PM

At least it has Donna Summer's great song in it.

by Anonymousreply 6November 16, 2022 11:02 PM

I'm in.

That looks intentionally schlocktastic while not trying too hard, a tricky thing to pull off.

The first "Sharknado" managed it.

by Anonymousreply 7November 16, 2022 11:02 PM

The Lost City was schlocktastic. Tatum and Salma are naturally gifted for schlock.

by Anonymousreply 8November 16, 2022 11:04 PM

I've nothing against Salma Hayek.

But still, she's got enough dough to last several lifetimes, she doesn't have to work, but feels a need to express her creativity by performing in this stuff?

by Anonymousreply 9November 16, 2022 11:09 PM

She seems to have fun. She loves to act.

by Anonymousreply 10November 16, 2022 11:13 PM

Is that complete nothing of an actress from the first one still in it?

by Anonymousreply 11November 16, 2022 11:27 PM

R11 lmao no. She wasn’t in the sequel either.

Isn’t she the former President of WB’s daughter?

by Anonymousreply 12November 16, 2022 11:50 PM

Cody Horn retired from acting.

However it should be noted that she was not cast in the first movie because she was Alan Horn’s daughter (Horn was gone from WB at that point anyway)

She was cast because she was writer-producer Reid Carolin’s girlfriend! She’s his wife now and goes by Cody Carolin.

They will have tall, good-looking children.

R13 Magic Mike was filmed from September-October of 2011. Alan Horn stepped down from WB mid 2012.

He was still in charge when she was cast and it was filmed.

Nice try though.

Tatum seems so gay when assessing half-naked dancers auditioning for the show.

by Anonymousreply 15November 19, 2022 2:10 PM

I'm still waiting for MAGIC MIKE: FULL FRONTAL

Magic Mike: Double Penetration!

by Anonymousreply 19November 19, 2022 2:17 PM

Horn was already on his way out in early 2011

Irregardless, the movie was financed and produced independently and was picked up mid production by Warner Bros. with Cody Horn already cast due to her relationship with Reid Carolin

R20 he did not leave until 2012. Whether he was ready to leave or not doesn’t change that he didn’t leave until after Magic Mike was already in theaters!

by Anonymousreply 21November 19, 2022 2:24 PM

I thought Soderbergh said he was no longer making films?

by Anonymousreply 22November 19, 2022 2:27 PM

Either way, Cody Horn carries a lot of blame for the first film’s flaws but part of the reason is that the focus of the film shifted to her when Channing Tatum greatly reduced Alex Pettyfer’s role in post-production. Alex Pettyfer’s romance with Riley Keogh’s character was supposed to as equally important as Channing Tatum’s and Horn’s but they basically threw half the movie away. If you watched Magic Mike in theaters, many people were confused why the movie just suddenly ends. Because Channing hated Alex Pettyfer.

by Anonymousreply 23November 19, 2022 2:31 PM

No. The ending was always meant to be vague. Soderbergh wrote it like that. He does things like that all the time.

by Anonymousreply 24November 19, 2022 2:32 PM

Reid Carolin wrote the movie and his script is readily available on the Internet.

by Anonymousreply 25November 19, 2022 2:37 PM

MMLD will have a thirty minute dance finale

Which doesn’t mean much since it will be nobodies dancing (aside from CT)
