Nevertheless!
The players from the Masters fly there for dinner a day or so before the tournament.

This is the amount for a large wooden salad mixing bowl.
Ingredients
6 heads iceberg lettuce, cleaned, cored and torn into large, bite size pieces
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
1 cup chopped red onion
1 1/3 cups salad oil
2/3 cup olive oil
1 cup lemon juice
6 tablespoons minced garlic
2 teaspoons salt
Directions
Place the lettuce, tomatoes, and onion in a large mixing bowl. In a separate container, combine the salad oil and olive oil. Pour the oil mixture and lemon juice over the lettuce mixture. Add the garlic and salt. Toss until the lettuce is covered evenly with the oils, tomatoes, onions, garlic and salt. Do not over toss. Serve immediately or within 15 minutes to ensure lettuce remains crisp.

Oil, garlic, and lemon juice?
Groundbreaking.

Is it better than Aunt Martha's Old Fashioned Salad Dressing?

R6, I was just about to say the same thing. This almost reminds me of Food Network's recipe for "frozen grapes". (The comments are a hoot on that).

What’s salad oil?

I know there’s nothing fancy about the ingredients , but people go crazy for it.

I’m thinking the fresh lemon juice takes it over the top.
Not many bother with that anymore.

Michael Stern’s original review.
He says the place is “legendary, worth driving from anywhere.”

I ate at Doe's last week on a road trip with friends to Greenville, MS.
Best steak ever!
And I've had steaks at famous steak places in NYC, Washington, Chicago, Tampa, and Atlanta.
Quite pricey but worth it. And the ambiance can't be bet.
If ever in the mid-South, dine at the original Doe's Eat Place.

They had a satellite location in my city for a while. The steak I had was okay, but not particularly memorable except for the size (24 oz was the smallest option available—I'd have been much happier with half the size at half the price). Tamales that people were raving about were fucking awful.
