Scotty Bowers described in his book a deep longing for affection and guidance from his father. Instead a pedo neighbor gave the young boy direction, attention, and then continued grooming him for his own selfish needs.

Scotty fiercely protected the privacy of his clients until his book and he only spoke about deceased customers. By the way, Scotty was not a pimp. He did not take a cut. And he quit facilitating hookups when HIV started. Thereafter he was more or less a handy man, fixer, bartender etc. He was literally loved by almost all who he served and worked with. Troll on these threads I assume are uptight prudes who think his revelations are somehow scandalous. Hardly- just fun. Truly a character perhaps to a certain extent acting out issues from his past, one surviving the war in the Pacific. But his services were benign and gave pleasure and fun to adults who had to lead double lives in very different times. His story is both informative of his time and a hoot.

An interesting story and disturbing too. The dude was loaded and lived in a hoard with his elderly wife who complains about the hazardous conditions.

On camera, he cleans out a storage unit and retrieves the ashes of a onetime companion.

Because the cameras are on, Bowers disposes of the remains on his main property through a hole on his sundeck!

The documentary is streaming on TUBI. It is an interesting film. I was less interested in his Hollywood hookups and more interested in his story which is unique and uniquely disturbing.

But I had no idea Tom Ewell was gay until I watched this film.

Uniquely disturbing? Oh hun, it was Hollywood. If the geezers left from Old Hollywood spoke honestly about that period in time they'd all tell the same story.

That is what I mean, r52. It was the most outrageous moment in a salacious film and a middle finger to Corbin Bernsen. Ashes can be divided which allows people to have their own ceremony with their portion. The dispute was about money, not the remains. Corbin Bernsen asked for a large sum of money from the estate to dispose of the remains. Bowers refused and then tossed the ashes out from his backyard deck!

An old friend of mine who worked in the production side of the movie industry from back in the day told me once that most Hollywood movie stars, back when they actually had real movie stars, had little interest in being with other movie stars when they got horny.
