Jack Scalia: 1970s Underwear Model
Does anyone remember this guy? In the late 1970s, underwear ads and ads for Jordache jeans featuring Jack Scalia created such a craze that people were stealing the ads all over NYC, especially in the subways. He was HOT. People tried to make him into a major star but his acting career never really took off, though he was on Dallas for a while.
Anyone remember him or have any sightings or stories to share?
Why didn't he have a bigger career?
And why don't young men look anywhere near this hot today?

He was in a cheesy woman's movie where he owned a Caribbean hotel.
He sat down for dinner at the restaurant wearing a tiny 'lap-lap' or sarong which rode up his thighs and barely contained his manhood.
Fabulous chin-cleavage!

I don't recommend watching the Joanne Pacula film "Sweet Deception," but Scalia's attempt at a Southern accent almost turned a thriller into a comedy.

Hudson was not yet infected in 1982 when they worked together. I worked on the show as a personal assistant to one of the writers and most of us were aware of what was going on. Hudson was really enamored of Scalia.

Hudson may have been 'really enamored of Scalia' but we shouldn't assume they touched each other.

Jack was a top in this case. Rock loved to bottom for someone with a large cock, which Scalia had, and then some. Jack may have had other flings, but I have no corroboration about them and only know of this, with certainty, because of working on the show. I think it was serious at the time. Jack looked different than most of the guy's Rock seemed to like and Rock was very protective of him. Jack seemed to genuinely appreciate Rock's professional advice and Rock even curtailed his excessive drinking while working with Jack.

Rock was also married to a woman!!
I don't think anyone claimed that Jack was gay, but I worked on "The Devlin Connection" and they were definitely having a fling.
Jack visited Rock in his final weeks and during the visit, Rock's spirits soared. I know the look that two people who have been intimate in the past share, and they shared it.
You had to personally know Rock to understand why someone like Jack would fall under his spell. When not drinking to excess, Rock was funny, charming, very intelligent and quite sexy, even in his latter 50's. In addition, Rock had a way of looking at you and making you feel that you were the most important person in the world. To a struggling newcomer, that would have been alluring.

I want to see more men like that, but today's models look so fake like they never did any work (but plastic surgery).
