MSNBC - Part 42

What's the extent of security you will need as the Mar a Lago employee cooperating witness? Sounds like a nightmare.

by Anonymousreply 338December 20, 2022 11:48 PM

Would not be surprised if Federal witness protection is available.

by Anonymousreply 1October 13, 2022 1:05 AM

Alex Wagner was interviewing Cheri Beasley the Democratic candidate for Senate tonight and when the interview ended Alex said "thank you Mrs. Beasley" which perked up my ears and anyone else who ever watched the TV comedy Family Affair.

by Anonymousreply 2October 13, 2022 3:00 AM

I guess Alex has made some assumptions about her demo.

by Anonymousreply 3October 13, 2022 4:33 AM

Did you know that Rachel Maddow has a new podcast? Apparently, it's the biggest news of the week. How many more appearances will Rachel be making to plug it? Will she be appearing on every MSNBC show? Popping in over the weekend to chat with Alex Witt, Yasmin Vossoughian, and Alicia Menendez? ("I know I've never spoken to you in all our time together at MSNBC, but I'm thrilled to be here to talk about my new podcast.")

by Anonymousreply 4October 13, 2022 5:03 AM

The big test will come tomorrow night - how many mentions of Ultra during the 01/06 Committee meeting coverage.

by Anonymousreply 5October 13, 2022 6:11 AM

Please tell me it’s not only Andrea Mitchell and Katie Tur for Jan 6 coverage today. I just can’t.

by Anonymousreply 6October 13, 2022 5:35 PM

Andrea Mitchel alway talks like her dentures keep slipping.

by Anonymousreply 7October 13, 2022 5:46 PM

We got the not-too-puffy version of Adam today. But I had my eye on the big-eared solemn young man over his shoulder.

by Anonymousreply 8October 13, 2022 10:40 PM

I like Harry Litman. Nicolle asked him why hasn't Trump been charged yet and Harry said "If you shoot the king, you better kill him".

by Anonymousreply 9October 14, 2022 9:22 PM

Truer words, but elevating Trump to the rank of King? In his own mind maybe.

Looks like Steve has an election related hourly show for the next 4 Friday nights - Kornacki Countdown.

I missed the first episode, but I've got it set to record the early morning rebroadcast.

by Anonymousreply 11October 15, 2022 8:45 AM

I'm looking forward to Chris Hayes' live shows with an audience again Hell I might even attend 1 of them. His spazzy delivery works better there. When he's by himself it can be a bit awkward and distract from the usually good points he makes

by Anonymousreply 12October 15, 2022 11:28 AM

If MSNBC is just going to be one long commercial for everyone's podcasts I am not sure how much longer I am going to be watching. Most of Rachel has been about her and then Nicolle's podcasts.

Yes. And apparently she drinks it out of a mug.

She's previously referred to it as Mommy Juice, which sounds better and has the benefit of being more accurate.

by Anonymousreply 19October 18, 2022 6:55 AM
It's not like there isn't any news to report

No one on MSNBC seems to have run with the TMTG Truth Social whistleblower news from late last week. It may be more of a CNBC story.

90% of the shares weren't enough for Donald, he pressured the executives, other than D. Nunes, to just hand over some of their shares to Melania. If there's any justice, that thing will go down the toilet. Followed by Elon's Twitter and Ye's Parlor.

by Anonymousreply 29October 20, 2022 9:34 PM

Can't STAND Alex Wagner.

She's just as bad as hosts on Faux "News", -- a patronizing, smirking one-sided slimeball who without fail, turns any issue into some problem with Repugs. Just had a guy on who interviewed his former boss (Obama) who was pointing out how bad Dems are at messaging -- and instead of discussing this REALITY -- she manages to turn it into "But what if the Republicans get control, blah, blah.."

The Republicans WILL get control if the Dems don't IMPROVE THEIR MESSAGING. That was Obama's entire point.

by Anonymousreply 30October 21, 2022 2:38 AM

Then why are you watching her R30?

by Anonymousreply 31October 21, 2022 2:47 AM

Go Cecile Richards..Alex Wagner quoting gross polls.

by Anonymousreply 32October 21, 2022 2:52 AM

Just tuned in for the first time in weeks. Then turned it off after about 5 minutes R30.

by Anonymousreply 33October 21, 2022 3:11 AM

I'm starting to think the best long term outcome might be for the GOP to win big, with the most extreme elements coming to the fore. Let them push all crazy shit they want to do, with the administration being the bulwark against most of it being enacted as law. Two years is probably not adequate time for them to engineer a total control of the voting systems. The backlash in 2024 would be strong enough to purge them for good, and return real majority rule to the country.

Or maybe not.

by Anonymousreply 34October 21, 2022 6:08 AM

[R34] That's a big roll of the dice that America should not be willing to take this year.

why do numerous MSNBC hosts keep talking about Gen Z voters? Don't get me wrong, they're quite important but they're only 4-5 years of them are actually eligible to vote. I find it odd that there's NO focus whatsoever on Millennials who are about 24-40 years old. This was the generation that gave Obama 2 terms in the WH. Millennial failure to show up in 2016 a big part of why Trump won.

by Anonymousreply 88November 3, 2022 8:20 AM

While I like him too, I am guessing never, he is a real reporter not a news reader.

by Anonymousreply 95November 3, 2022 7:58 PM

MSNBC really doesn't have "news readers," it takes a real reporter to anchor an hour program as a talking head. I think he would be stellar with his own show.

by Anonymousreply 96November 3, 2022 8:10 PM

Collins is ok, but without his facial hair he looks like Frodo Baggins from "Lord of the Rings".

by Anonymousreply 98November 3, 2022 9:27 PM

I think like most MSNBC watchers , we're all a bit disenchanted and even disgusted by all the polls and predictions about who's winning on Tuesday.

I'll be eager to watch Steve on election night when there are real numbers coming in, but until then, all of these warnings and predictions (even if they're somewhat based on past history) are really a turn-off.

This election year is NOT comparable to any previous year, good or bad. All bets are off until Wednesday morning. Steve, take a break and rest up for Tuesday.

by Anonymousreply 99November 3, 2022 10:08 PM

7 p.m. Ben Collins

8 p.m. Gadi Schwartz

9 p.m. Jacob Soboroff

10 p.m. Garrett Haake

11 p.m. Morgan Chesky

by Anonymousreply 101November 4, 2022 2:19 AM

I like your line-up, 101 !

by Anonymousreply 102November 4, 2022 2:22 AM

r94, Kornacki is good for retrospective analysis, and like all pollsters who won't admit they cannot get a decent poll sample in a post landline America, is worth shit projecting in a post-Hillary/Russia world. That is why all this shit is falling "within the margin of error".

My prediction: Democrats win in a landslide by winning EVERY race by 51%.

by Anonymousreply 103November 4, 2022 2:33 AM

[R103] Excellent post - I forgot about the dearth of landlines in this election. How are they polling these days ? You can't even say 'in person at the local malls' like they used to since malls are dead spaces with no one in them any longer.

Unless they're polling in the parking lots of Walmart and Cracker Barrel Restaurants - and that's where they're getting the wins for republicans ?

I hope you're right with the Dems winning - I do have the same feeling.

by Anonymousreply 104November 4, 2022 3:09 AM

R101 - I would make one change:

Matt Bradley for Garrett Haake

by Anonymousreply 105November 4, 2022 3:52 AM

R101 MSNBC - Male Supremacy National Broadcasting Corporation

by Anonymousreply 106November 4, 2022 5:39 AM

R105 Re-hire David Gura for the 9pm slot.

by Anonymousreply 107November 4, 2022 5:46 AM

Unfortunately, it'll probably be the exact opposite R103. With maybe one or two exceptions.

Most people don't follow the news -- especially the political news -- like people on the DL and other forums. They don't until it HITS HOME. So they've moved on from Trump and Jan 6 because they think it's over, he lost.

The thing that's hitting home for everyone now is inflation and a possible recession. And the party in charge always gets blamed for that.

by Anonymousreply 108November 4, 2022 6:13 AM

I think that inflation has been corrected to price gouging and Republicans have no alternative. There will be no recession unless Republicans crash the economy over the debt ceiling.

by Anonymousreply 115November 4, 2022 5:07 PM

She did something awful, and also her ratings must be terrible.

by Anonymousreply 116November 4, 2022 5:19 PM

From the Variety article:
There has been speculation that Cross’ relationship with MSNBC was becoming frayed, according to two of these people, with executives at the network growing concerned about the anchor’s willingness to address statements made by cable-news hosts on other networks and indulging in commentary executives felt did not meet the standards of MSNBC or NBC News.

What does that mean?

by Anonymousreply 117November 4, 2022 5:22 PM

To me it sounds like she 'responded' to comments made by hosts at competing networks (I'm gonna guess FOX) way too often, which MSNBC asked her to refrain from. (On occasion Hayes , Reid, Maddow , etc. will address them but only if it's something totally outlandish. Otherwise, they don't put a spotlight on FOX all the time and give them free press / attention). So she must've defied their orders and continued to volley back and forth with them - and now she's done.

by Anonymousreply 118November 4, 2022 7:33 PM

I fear this means we'll be seeing more of Symone Sanders.

by Anonymousreply 119November 4, 2022 7:43 PM

by Anonymousreply 133November 5, 2022 2:47 AM

R124 why are you posting a site owned by evil Murdoch? They have an agenda to bash anyone not on Fox or 1 of his numerous "news"papers

Most of the time I was fine with Tiffany Cross but thought some of her "clapbacks" were too juvenile for someone hosting a news show. Clearly the standard at MSNBC is much higher than that of propaganda network Fox, which delights its viewers when hosts and commentators start insulting other network hosts

by Anonymousreply 134November 5, 2022 3:30 AM

Exactly, r134.

by Anonymousreply 135November 5, 2022 3:33 AM

ON Joy this evening her guest was Michael Moore. Michael was talking about the The Hippocratic Oath (first do no harm) but he couldn't recall the name of it, he just said it started with an H. Joy jumps in and says Hammurabi who was known for the theory of law of retribution, a form of retaliatory justice commonly associated with the saying “an eye for an eye.” Under this system, if a man broke the bone of one his equals, his own bone would be broken in return. I just found it so weird that she went with almost the complete opposite. Of course shortly after that she went into her defense of Tiffany Cross so maybe it was on purpose because retribution was on her mind.

by Anonymousreply 136November 5, 2022 3:49 AM

But no slaying of that evil queen Megyn Kelly who has been saying all kinds of trash on her SiriusXM show???

That Cross was let go is a bit messy and I am SO here for it. Too bad I'll be working on Saturday and won't catch them address the change.

by Anonymousreply 137November 5, 2022 6:18 AM
evil queen Megyn Kelly who has been saying all kinds of trash on her SiriusXM show

She must be contemplating running for office. It's what works now in the GOP.

by Anonymousreply 138November 5, 2022 6:59 AM

R115, all she had to do is open her mouth. As noted several times in this and other threads, the woman talked THROUGH HER NOSE. THE most grating voice on television!

by Anonymousreply 139November 5, 2022 7:49 AM

"Cross also characterized injuries in the NFL as a race issue, saying: “To see all these black men crashing into each other with a bunch of white owners, white coaches, and the complete disregard for black bodies and black life.” She also said white people should “sit out” giving their opinions on the controversy surrounding Will Smith slapping stand-up comic Chris Rock during the Academy Awards."

The professional victim/woke/cancel culture crap is SO 2018.

by Anonymousreply 140November 5, 2022 7:54 AM

Velshi continued his show into the 10am hour formerly covered by Cross.

by Anonymousreply 141November 5, 2022 3:04 PM

I bet the majority of MSNBC viewers didn't even notice Velshi going into a third hour, and Cross not being there. She wasn't that big of a headliner, no matter what she thinks.

Was the guy wacky for his khakis, r145?

by Anonymousreply 167November 8, 2022 12:28 PM

by Anonymousreply 168November 8, 2022 2:57 PM

I love when Mika is 'off camera' and Willie is on-camera and is in th emiddle of saying something important when Mika moans like she's having an orgasm, and punctuates with "Wow!" What is really going on off-camera with her ?

by Anonymousreply 169November 8, 2022 3:54 PM

R169 - you should be asking Joe that question.

by Anonymousreply 170November 8, 2022 4:13 PM

Joy's orange beanie on the top of her head last night was crooked. No one had the good sense to tell her ? And Nicolle has lost way too much weight. When she turns to look at someone on her left (as she did last night) she looks like a bird - her big nose protrudes more now that she's so thin.

by Anonymousreply 171November 8, 2022 4:27 PM

Nicolle is wearing lip liner & BLUE!

by Anonymousreply 172November 8, 2022 9:01 PM

by Anonymousreply 180November 9, 2022 1:19 AM

Same, R154.

Switched off the news Sunday morning, and I've been binging Ben & Erin on HGTV, Wagon Train, Perry Mason, The Closer/Major Crimes, Emergency!, WW2 docs, Mafia/organized crime docs, Civil Rights docs, TCM-Go.

Woke up at 5am this morning and found [italic]Leave It To Beaver[/italic] on Roku, and have been watching it all day. So freaking adorable; it holds up so well.

OP, there is an AMAZING documentary on Prime called [italic]My Name Was Bette: The Life and Death of An Alcoholic.[/italic]. Had to watch it in installments because it's so searing.

I remember how bleeding awful this night in 2016 was, and the nail-biter in 2020. Not putting myself through that again. I donated my widow's mite where and when I could, and I voted. That's all I can do.

by Anonymousreply 181November 9, 2022 1:22 AM

I'm watching "Carmen Jones" on TMC, but I pop over to MSNBC every so often for a five minute election update.

All the pre-election 24/7 coverage these past few weeks wore me out well before the big night.

by Anonymousreply 182November 9, 2022 2:49 AM

I'm watching today's Jeopardy episode on Youtube. The Georgia senate race is stressing me out.

by Anonymousreply 183November 9, 2022 3:12 AM

My goodness. Is that Jen Psaki or Lena Horne?

by Anonymousreply 184November 9, 2022 3:27 AM

by Anonymousreply 197November 9, 2022 4:32 PM

She did her two hour daily show before the start of the election coverage, so she already had two more hours in than anyone else on the set.

Poor Katy should get hazardous duty pay for this shift, R203.

by Anonymousreply 205November 9, 2022 9:18 PM

I really have been enjoying seeing more of Claire McKaskill this week, especially in the studio as opposed to her kitchen. I would definitely tune in daily if they gave her an hour. She is the voice of sanity for me.

by Anonymousreply 206November 9, 2022 10:34 PM

Did she bring lemon bundt cake for everyone in the studio, r206?

by Anonymousreply 207November 9, 2022 10:44 PM

If MSNBC gave Claire an hour morning show, she could wrap it up with a baking session. I'd definitely watch that!

by Anonymousreply 208November 9, 2022 10:49 PM

Claire is better suited for the afternoon/early evening time slot rather than morning.

by Anonymousreply 209November 9, 2022 10:56 PM

Symone looks like a buffoon with those giant eyelashes, the clown makeup, and the talon nails. She needs to be restyled ASAP.

by Anonymousreply 210November 9, 2022 10:57 PM

I assume Nicolle will be on the post-election special tonight? I missed her in her normal time slot.

by Anonymousreply 211November 9, 2022 10:59 PM

r208, it's a good thing.

Andrea got confused by the big table with everyone seated. She said out loud "where is Ben?" and looked around without seeing him until Ben Collins raised his hand for his segment. She was the only one who didn't know where he was sitting! Clearly he had to have sat down there during commercial break. Was she sleeping and didn't see him?

by Anonymousreply 218November 10, 2022 12:10 AM

Joy asked Kurt Bardella what job is in the future of Lauren Boebert if she loses her seat in congress and he says well it might be a gain for OnlyFans. Claire Macaskill's mouth dropped open in amazement.

by Anonymousreply 219November 10, 2022 12:26 AM

I liked how Claire referred to the House as “crazytown”. “When bills come down the hall from Crazytown, a Democratic-controlled Senate isn’t even going to look at them.”

by Anonymousreply 220November 10, 2022 12:53 AM

What Joy is wearing on her head is a crime against humanity.

by Anonymousreply 221November 10, 2022 1:00 AM

Rachel just put the longwinded, speed-fueled Steve Kornacki on "pause." 😂

by Anonymousreply 222November 10, 2022 1:09 AM

Where in the World is Nicolle Wallace?

by Anonymousreply 230November 10, 2022 10:52 AM

Loving Claire this morning subbing for Mika. She manages to calm Joe down. She's such a natural and if you're old like me, it's so refreshing watching a woman of a certain age (who isn't inept like AM) anchoring a show.

And handsome Sean Patrick Maloney sitting at the table! He'd be a great addition to MSNBC now that he no longer has a job.

by Anonymousreply 231November 10, 2022 1:46 PM
She manages to calm Joe down.

It's her lemon bundt cake, r231.

by Anonymousreply 232November 10, 2022 4:40 PM

Team Claire! Give her the noon hour, MSNBC.

Will Katy Tur be stuck granny-sitting Andrea again today?

by Anonymousreply 233November 10, 2022 4:53 PM

So did Nicolle get fired or what? They should just give her two hours to Claire.

by Anonymousreply 234November 10, 2022 6:28 PM

Nicolle is back on her show

by Anonymousreply 235November 10, 2022 9:00 PM

Nicolle is glowing! I guess she spent her timeout drinking MAGA tears.

by Anonymousreply 236November 10, 2022 9:03 PM

What are those bandages on Nicolle's left hand?!

by Anonymousreply 237November 10, 2022 9:17 PM

Nicolle reading out the "losers list." I love how petty she is!

by Anonymousreply 243November 10, 2022 10:39 PM

by Anonymousreply 244November 10, 2022 11:01 PM
Then you're in disagreement with Nicolle herself

I am, r240. They are deserving of zero generosity of spirit. Reading a losers list is just as newsworthy as a winners list.

by Anonymousreply 245November 10, 2022 11:26 PM

Something new is going on at MSNBC. Joy use to introduce the Chris Hayes show and they would go right to Chris's introduction of his show, but tonight they went to commercials. In the past Chris Hayes would introduce Alex Wagner, sometimes they would chat a bit but tonight there was another block of commercials between the two shows. I don't know if they are showing more commercials or are just showing them at different times, but this totally cuts off the banter between hosts between shows.

by Anonymousreply 246November 11, 2022 2:28 AM

The Election Set is spread over the two smaller sets used in the studio, and they have to go to commercial to clear the desk for the next host. It's logistics, as the set does not change, only the people.

by Anonymousreply 247November 11, 2022 2:32 AM

R154 Just dropped back in after 3 days off the news grid - surprisingly easy to avoid all results while still using phone, laptop and streaming content. Jazzed about the better than expected outcomes, esp. PA. And the expected GA runoff as still the likely final determinant.

The one byte that leaked through, was an email subject line : "Peter Thiel 2024". Is he really considered a big winner in the midterms, just owing to support of J.D.Vance?

by Anonymousreply 266November 12, 2022 12:52 AM

Vaughan Hillyard was wearing a deep violet colored jacket tonight in AZ (and a turquoise bolo!) and suddenly I saw how beautifully violet his eyes are. He's really come into his own reporting on the elections from his home state. I'm becoming a fan.

by Anonymousreply 268November 12, 2022 4:24 AM

R267 I've tried very hard to maintain a level of regard for the voting populace, even when they cast their ballots for a member of the Clown Car of Charlatans that are running these days all over the country. In the end there's really no other explanation for it - they are just stupid.

by Anonymousreply 269November 12, 2022 5:28 AM

by Anonymousreply 277November 12, 2022 8:08 PM

Laugh all you want about Vaughn but I believe his confrontations with Kari Lake really did cost her some votes. And at this narrow a margin it could make all the difference.

by Anonymousreply 278November 12, 2022 9:24 PM

I will say Vaughn has come a long way in a short period of time, from a bouncing blinking stammering boy as recently as at the Miami condo collapse, to a composed and driven reporter. He's clearly matured.

by Anonymousreply 282November 13, 2022 2:07 AM

Kornacki and the gang announced Democratic control of the Senate.

I'm bouncing off the walls!! We keep control of the Senate!

Wah-wah, poor Mitch.

I agree, and I hate to say it, but Alicia Menendez doesn't bother me nearly as much as she did a few months ago.

Symone Sanders, on the other hand ...

by Anonymousreply 287November 13, 2022 3:10 AM

Velshi's voice is the definition of fingernails on a chalkboard. And then there's his face...

by Anonymousreply 288November 13, 2022 3:14 AM

I like Symone. I actually prefer the hosts on panels shows than the hosts on their own

it's more fun when it's not just 1 person hogging airtime

by Anonymousreply 289November 13, 2022 3:42 AM

I've never understood the disdain here for Alicia Menendez. I think she's always a great host, smart with strong opinions but never overbearing.

by Anonymousreply 290November 13, 2022 4:07 AM

Michael Cohen is ON FIRE with Ali Velshi this morning! God, I just love that man.

by Anonymousreply 291November 13, 2022 2:09 PM
I've never understood the disdain here for Alicia Menendez. I think she's always a great host, smart with strong opinions but never overbearing.

She’s grown on me. She seemed robotic and weird when she first appeared.

John Heilemann has COVID.

There aren't enough Maddow Mondays in the week.

by Anonymousreply 296November 15, 2022 3:37 AM

Ari with these fucking "Nas" references. Nobody wants to hear this shit.

by Anonymousreply 297November 15, 2022 11:05 PM

Fuck Kornacki. Why did they fall for him, exactly? A complete waste of airtime. They should have aired Linda G. instead. I wanted to fuck him in the ass for such deceptive fuckery! Fucking copper pant dick-lick! I’d rip that shit off him!

Yeah…538 & and Real Clear Politic polls predicts… Fuck them hugely in the arse!

by Anonymousreply 298November 17, 2022 2:04 PM

What happened? R298

by Anonymousreply 299November 17, 2022 6:18 PM

by Anonymousreply 301November 18, 2022 3:17 AM

I don't know if it's me but when Andrea Mitchell is on I have to turn up the volume to hear her.

by Anonymousreply 302November 18, 2022 3:40 AM

I hope Alex Wagner is testing negative for covid; she's been coughing and gasping for breath all week!😳

by Anonymousreply 303November 18, 2022 3:56 AM

Symone looks fetching this Saturday afternoon!

by Anonymousreply 304November 19, 2022 9:03 PM

What’s the details of Joe S & Rachel Maddow’s hatred for each other?

by Anonymousreply 305November 19, 2022 9:15 PM

DL fave Aymen Mohedin wrote a blog opinion piece and spoke on his show about how as a Muslim, he is offended by people (gay people) being upset with Soccer being at Quatar and that it’s really just Islamophobia and not that big of deal.

Yes, gay people being imprisoned and murdered are definitely the problem.

by Anonymousreply 306November 20, 2022 2:20 PM

Possibly because Rachel is a renound Journalist and historian and Lesbian? And Scarborough is a know it all ex Congressman who marrie into an international policy family?

by Anonymousreply 307November 20, 2022 5:07 PM

Tnat's *Dr.* Maddow, r307.

by Anonymousreply 308November 20, 2022 5:12 PM

Don’t forget the dead guy in Joe’s apt…

by Anonymousreply 309November 21, 2022 6:13 AM

Geez Louise, they are really trying to kill off Kamala Harris these days. Maybe they fear she could be a drag on 2024 election.

by Anonymousreply 310November 21, 2022 6:17 AM

Who/what/where were the comments re Kamala, r310?

by Anonymousreply 311November 21, 2022 1:49 PM

I was referring to this news report on Kamala Harris being sent to hotzones.

There is a funny shadow on Claire's breasts today (on Zoom with with Nicolle) that makes her look like she's either been heavily lactating or had an accident with her Mixmaster.

by Anonymousreply 315November 21, 2022 10:11 PM

I was disappointed with Nicolle that she didn't challenge Michael Cohen this afternoon on his assertion last week that Trump would not announce his candidacy.

by Anonymousreply 316November 21, 2022 10:13 PM

Nicolle doesn’t challenge. She was a White House Communication manager for George Bush.

You don’t work for George Bush and ask questions

by Anonymousreply 317November 21, 2022 10:50 PM

Well, maybe the phrase I should have used was "chided" Michael Cohen. Could you not see Nicolle chiding, r317?

Ben Collins basically cried on Morning Joe this am.

Felt 😢 for him.

by Anonymousreply 320November 22, 2022 11:39 PM

Aww. Poor Ben. His beat involves covering all sorts of hurtful and hateful stuff online, but he seems like such a sensitive soul. I wonder how he copes.

by Anonymousreply 321November 23, 2022 12:04 AM

Would there be a clip of Ben crying yet?

Who the fuck thought it would be a good idea to have Howard Stern take over Morning Joe this morning?

by Anonymousreply 325November 23, 2022 2:54 PM

r325, instead of balancing all the Republican/Trump Shitfest with positive stories about Democratic successes, Morning Joe is balancing out the Republican/Trump Shitfest with rating appealing happy talk. This generally include sports (drives Mika nuts), and because Scarborough fancies himself a musician, the occasional musical superstar or interview. Just like Ari Wigger has da clamp on African American songsters. Iz da hook.

by Anonymousreply 326November 23, 2022 3:41 PM

Claire reminds me of the American Dream if you don’t get married and have kids you are a nobody.

Hope she finds peace in this grief.

She reminds me of Senator Chris Murphy who is apparently wallowing in his grief for not getting divorce in his loveless marriage.

MSNBC seems to be on perpetual reruns this morning so I switched over to CNN and was happy to see that Jim Sciutto has been reinstated and seems to be relatively sober.

by Anonymousreply 328November 25, 2022 2:59 PM

Maddow Monday!

by Anonymousreply 329November 29, 2022 2:09 AM

Jake Sherman was on Nicole's show yesterday, with 3 or 4 days of scruff and a very Ivy League v-neck and shirt combo. He was looking delicious. One of the other talking heads on the panel was Ben Rhodes...I had this sudden spit roasting fantasy, seeing the two of them at the same time.

by Anonymousreply 330November 29, 2022 4:46 PM

Jake Sherman is a Republican shill. Good luck with the spit roast

by Anonymousreply 331November 29, 2022 6:42 PM

Jake Sherman is an asshole.

by Anonymousreply 332November 29, 2022 6:59 PM

Jake Sherman is a turd 💩

by Anonymousreply 333November 29, 2022 11:32 PM

Why does Nicolle torment us with the so-called Iranian-American journalist, Masih Alinejad? Call me cynical, but there's something "off" about her; "that girl ain't right" comes to mind.

by Anonymousreply 334November 30, 2022 11:28 PM

If Rachel is going to appear remotely on Chris Hayes show and has so much to say, she may as well go to the office more frequently.

by Anonymousreply 335December 1, 2022 1:14 AM
I don't know if it's me but when Andrea Mitchell is on I have to turn up the volume to hear her.

I sometimes watch TV with earbuds. Andrea constantly makes these dry, mealy-mouth clicking noises - kinda like when someone is 'taste testing' something. Her microphone picks it up both when she's talking and when she's silent. Between the mouth sounds and her dottering cadence, I can no longer watch her show.

by Anonymousreply 336December 8, 2022 12:20 AM
Andrea constantly makes these dry, mealy-mouth clicking noises

It's due to the bad combination of loose dentures and a dry mouth from Alzheimer's meds.
