R32 = Soap Actors make much smaller money than you think. No way is he making 300k. Maybe 170k--but I would be surprised if it's that much. He isn't the "star" of the show. Look at the other contract actors who have been there 20 plus years.. Daytime actors have talked about it. Kim Zimmer aka Reva Shayne, talked about it in her book. She said everyone thought she was making a Million Dollars at Guiding Light when she left and she said she wasn't even making half that during the whole Josh/Reva supercouple peak years.

Well then Kim had a bad agent. Miss Viki Sleestack made well over a mil during her peak years.

Most young soap actors are either on recurring or are making a lot less than you think. Most of them *might* be making 100K a year if they're lucky. No one on any of these shows is making what they used to make. I doubt anyone is making over 250K annually.

So many are on recurring but still appear in show credits to save face, so it's not clear who is and who is not, but most of these shows probably only have somewhere between 6-12 contract actors.

Those dudes in R27 should oil each other up and fuck!

Sadly, these shows have become the joke some thought they always were.

They'd do better showing reruns from 1984 on.

R38 = Yeah...I loved how SoapNet (owned by Disney) had ZERO problem replaying old ABC soaps but now Disney/ABC won't.

It's why we also only get really complete long arc stories from contract players. On GH everything is Sonny/Carly - for years Jason and Sam thrown in, now Nina.

Other actors either get short arcs or come and go so often they lose momentum.
