Eldergays - What Do You Think Of Rita Hayworth?
George Burns) I was surprised you could join us on a Saturday night, I figured you'd be busy
Rita Hayworth) I'm never busy, I can't get a date.
George) I figured a girl like you would be dated up months in advance.
Rita) The Hollywood studios have built my image up as a glamour girl so much, that everyone figures, I already have a date, so no one ever asks me. I tell you it's depressing.
Gracie Allen) Aw, cheer up Rita, maybe that isn't it at all. Maybe it's your looks.

Poor, lovely Rita. Early onset dementia. Started in her early 50s, I believe. Her daughter, Yasmin Aga Khan, realized what was happening and saw to it that her mother had proper care. She died at the age of 68.
She lit up the screen in "Gilda," and her rendition of "Put the Blame on Mame" was memorable.
