Joanna Lumley as Camilla 60+

The actress who played young her in The Crown (Emerald something?) was excellent. And then I’d like to see Emma Thompson take a crack at older Cam. And Tracy Ullman can fill in any gaps.

In the .ast season of The Crown, poor Olivia Williams (one of the finest and most underrated actresses in the UK) had almost no lines given to her. But she was phenomenal--she had great reaction scenes when she sat next to her first husband and watched in mortification Diana talk about her affair with the Prince of Wales to Martin Bashir. And there was a superb scene where she meets with PR experts and they ask her if she's willing to be queen one day, and she says she's up to it--it conveyed both that this was something she was not originally planning to have happen, but that she was willing to do it since it seemed the only way forward.
I genuinely believe (as the series seems to believe too) that camilla never really saw herself marrying Charles or becoming queen. She just wanted to be his mistress. She's a shy woman who does not have a lot of confidence in her looks (and rightly so), so unlike Diana or Kate or Meghan, she had never really wanted the fame.

Joanna Lumley would've been ICONIC as Camilla.
But the old cow has become a crown-sucking monarchist in her old age, and now claims to be close friends with Chuck and Mrs. Parker Bowles. She'd never do even an affectionate portrayal of Camilla.
She's just like Emma Thompson, who went from obnoxious commie protester to ardent royalist as soon as they gave the clam a Damehood. The Emma Thompson who came up in the Cambridge Footlights never would've accepted a damehood from these imperial ghouls.

R29 Thompson has always been a champagne socialist who wouldn't piss on a pauper if they were on fire. She's always been a down-low luvvie just like her pal Stephen Fry, she didn't have to get a Damehood to start licking royal arseholes
