This looks beautiful, and I fear sad. I can’t wait to watch it. It’s also being distributed by A24, which gives me hopes.

I saw a bit of the trailer and would not be able to watch this. From what it looks like it hits a bit too close to home as to how I had friendships ruined when I was that age.

I went through this kind of thing as a kid. I had a very intimate relationship with a friend. We were too young for sex but we did embrace while naked. His religious nut of a mother walked in and saw us in our underwear and that was it. She forbade him from seeing me and yanked him out of public school, put him in a Southern Baptist private school. Kind of pushed it out of my mind until I saw the trailer.

No sad movies for me. I look in the mirror and weep.

No sad movies for me, either. I see enough tragedy on the job.

It's one of the best movies of the year. I completely loved it even if it broke my heart. Highly, highly recommended.
