Jamie Tracey: The Anti-Chef

I’m a fan too. Love his series of Julia Child’s recipes. He’s cute and funny, something does ping a little, for sure.

He's hot and his channel is pretty funny too.

His Julia Child videos bug me. He sometimes breezes through certain steps because they're too complicated, then sulks when the recipe comes out poorly. And he often uses bouillon cubes in place of chicken or beef stock. Gross.

I only recently stumbled across this guy. He might be the best YouTube chef I've ever seen. I could do without the refrigerator kicking, though.

I participated in one of his live chats this morning on YouTube. Ninety minutes of close-up on his beautiful face and the hair peeking up over his collar. Breathtaking. He may have said something about cooking -I don't know. I was too busy swooning. I know I'm not the only one, since another viewer challenged him to cook in a pirate shirt -clearly to get a look at that chest...

i just found him yesterday. hot. but look at the older vids...a haircut and nosejob can do wonders.

He has a Jewish complexion to me. Guessing he's pretty thick down there, but he doesn't eminate BDE.

He reminds me of Andrew Lincoln, the actor who played Rick Grimes on The Walking Dead.

He's entertaining too. He knows he has an audience and he keeps the interest levels up. I like his "bowl me" thing using camera cuts, and when he's done with the recipe he says "order up!", like in a restaurant.

Can we just start a master thread for nerdy looking chefs that DLer's jerk too?

What's his background? Does anyone know? He seems to have semi-advanced cooking skills. In some takes I think he only plays dumb, when in others he really doesn't seem to understand the recipes.

He used to work in FX for films. He started the cooking thing several years ago. I don't think he had any cooking skills at the beginning, but he has learned a lot. I think he's very "real" on his show -what you see is what you get.

I usually don't pay much attention to people's hands. But he has the nicest and best maintained hands and fingers without looking overly manicured.

Because of this thread, I've been watching dozens of his videos. I don't know if I learn a lot from them. But he is hot and entertaining.

^ Based on this one video I would not. It's too tiktoky. The camera work makes me dizzy. And it looks like this video has a stronger focus on the guys, less on the cooking. Not necessarily what I want from cooking videos. Personally, I prefer more instructional videos that tell me things about the ingredients and methods of cooking. I find the emphasis on competition in cooking shows weird. Not unusual but weird. Everybody I know who loves cooking does it to relax and possibly to socialize (hence open floor kitchen). Nobody I know does it for the urge to compete.

They're cute though. I may watch a bit more from them. Maybe their videos grow on me.

If I watch them I'm sure something will grow on me...

I'd like them all to stuff my rump roast.
