Should Fetterman debate Oz?

On one hand, I get why he feels he has to do this; if Fetterman is able to power through the debate, it removes Oz’s only actually good line of attack. However, I worry that he won’t really be up to snuff. Of course, even a disabled Fetterman is better than a healthy Oz, but, based on some of the recent videos I have seen, he doesn’t look so good.

OP Here: Sorry, my finger slipped before I finished the poll.

by Anonymousreply 1September 10, 2022 2:05 AM

Meh met is the disabled one. "Cousin incest is fine!" Maybe in Turkey.

by Anonymousreply 2September 10, 2022 2:08 AM

He agreed to the debate. No choice, ducking the debate his lead was falling fast. A month ago he led by double digits.

Does Mr. Fetterman know, if he wins the election, he has to wear a suit in the senate chamber?

by Anonymousreply 4September 15, 2022 7:31 AM

R2 I agree, but that doesn’t mean that Fetterman is ready to debate.

Two months ago, he would have creamed Oz; now, I am not so sure. My question is, is it worth the risk? Would it be better for Fetterman to just avoid it?

by Anonymousreply 5September 15, 2022 7:36 AM

what’s up with that gross goatee?

by Anonymousreply 6September 15, 2022 8:49 AM

If he is not recovered enough to debate how is he recovered enough to serve?

by Anonymousreply 7September 15, 2022 9:20 AM

[quote]If he is not recovered enough to debate how is he recovered enough to serve?

Yes, how is he qualified to serve alongside this?

by Anonymousreply 8September 15, 2022 11:46 AM

Definitely needs to debate or he is acting elitist like he did in the primary.

by Anonymousreply 9September 15, 2022 12:47 PM

Concern trolling at its slimiest.

by Anonymousreply 10September 15, 2022 1:58 PM

R10 What the hell? YOU are what is wrong with the Dems. YOU are why we have an 80 year old in the WH.

There is nothing wrong with asking about the health of someone running for office. My only concern is IF this will make Fetterman look bad. He is winning now, why risk it?

by Anonymousreply 11September 15, 2022 5:01 PM

Fetterman is ugly. Will Cruz lose the ugly contest in the Senate if Fetterman is elected?

by Anonymousreply 12September 15, 2022 6:44 PM

What is that huge lump on the back of Fetter man’s neck??!

by Anonymousreply 13September 15, 2022 7:11 PM

Fetterman shouldn't have to debate a New Jersey resident.

by Anonymousreply 14September 15, 2022 7:16 PM

Since Fetterman has never had a real job, and his parents have probably Passed to Glory, where will he get the money to attend a debate?

by Anonymousreply 15September 15, 2022 7:25 PM

Pennsylvania voters have a tough choice - BAD and WORSE

by Anonymousreply 16September 15, 2022 7:26 PM

He hasnt had a real job?

by Anonymousreply 17September 15, 2022 9:55 PM

R17 Always supported by parents. First "job" is political, Mayor of Braddock, Pennsylvania.

by Anonymousreply 18September 15, 2022 11:13 PM

Don't care how he dresses; he's going to be a vote against the Repuglican's radical antiabortion-contraception ban.

by Anonymousreply 19September 15, 2022 11:20 PM

If there was a dead guy on the ballot, I would vote for him over Oz.

by Anonymousreply 20September 15, 2022 11:22 PM

R20 Plenty of names on tombstones have voted, why not vote for a dead candidate. Write in "Abraham Lincoln"

by Anonymousreply 21September 15, 2022 11:28 PM

Because I like Fetterman and will vote for him.

by Anonymousreply 22September 16, 2022 2:36 AM

The fact that he won’t debate makes him look weak. It’s why Feterman’s lead is evaporating.

by Anonymousreply 23September 29, 2022 7:39 PM

Why? As I said before, if there were a dead man on the ballot I would vote for him over Oz.

by Anonymousreply 24September 29, 2022 7:47 PM

r20 But what if Oz evolved his opinions and becamde a democrat and the opposition was still a republican?

let's be real, none of these cats matter in this day and age.

by Anonymousreply 25September 29, 2022 7:53 PM

The fact that he didn’t want to debate is troublesome & elite.

Fetterman did the same during the primary & didn’t show up.

A Progressive Child.

by Anonymousreply 26September 30, 2022 8:52 AM

Fetterman would clean the floor with Meeehmmmeeet. Oz knows nothing about public service and politics, he only thinks he does. Ugly, poorly dressed or whatever people say Fetterman is the best person for the job.

by Anonymousreply 27September 30, 2022 9:08 AM

Does Fetterman expect to be wheeled into the Senate chamber like Strom Thurmond was and cast his feeble handed votes without engaging his colleagues in debate as well?

by Anonymousreply 28September 30, 2022 9:23 AM

He needs to shave off that gross goatee & put on some professional clothes. Fetterman looks ridiculous.

by Anonymousreply 29September 30, 2022 9:25 AM

R24, the election isn’t decided by YOU. There are still those on the fence and when it comes to voters in places like Philly, which is more dangerous than ever, Democrats are taking the blame and being branded soft on crime. Oz still has the stench of a carpetbagger, but Republicans still have a big chance of taking over the country. It’s going to be a tight race.

by Anonymousreply 30September 30, 2022 9:30 AM

[quote] Fetterman would clean the floor with Meeehmmmeeet.

Then he should agree to a debate.

by Anonymousreply 31September 30, 2022 9:30 AM

Fetterman can do whatever he wants as long as it's neither illegal nor unethical.

Fuck the Repugs. They can wriggle in indignation and die in agony, for all I care.

by Anonymousreply 32September 30, 2022 9:39 AM

R31, waste of Fetterman's time.

by Anonymousreply 33September 30, 2022 10:16 AM

Fetterman looks like a man that needs a shower.

How does Gisele fuck that?

by Anonymousreply 34September 30, 2022 11:55 AM

R34 Women have fucked a lot worse for a lot less money. People forget that Fetterman, despite his everyman image, is a trust fund baby.

by Anonymousreply 35September 30, 2022 11:58 AM

Mastriano previously announced he would debate Shapiro only on terms dictated by Mastriano and in an environment preapproved by Mastriano.

Fetterman should take the same attitude with Oz. If it's good for a Republican, it's good for a Democrat.

by Anonymousreply 36September 30, 2022 12:45 PM

Before he was lieutenant governor of PA, in was mayor of Braddock, PA from 2006 to 2019. Braddock has a population of 1,885 people. There were 9 murders in Braddock while he was mayor. How the hell did he become lieutenant governor in the first place? Buttigieg should have moved to PA and ran (like Hilary did in NY). At least South Bend is actually a city.

by Anonymousreply 37September 30, 2022 1:01 PM

R12, that’s funny. If Fetterman wins, cruz will still hold the title. Fetterman’s looks could never beat ted cruz’s fay and smarmy face.

Just my opinion.

by Anonymousreply 38September 30, 2022 4:40 PM

R37, there were more murders before he was in office, the homicide rate went down while he was in office

by Anonymousreply 39September 30, 2022 4:43 PM

R30, the red states have more crime than the blue states. Memphis is worse than Philly, so are a bunch of places in the South

by Anonymousreply 40September 30, 2022 4:44 PM

R26, Mike DeWine is refusing to debate his opponent. Is he a "child" as well?

by Anonymousreply 41September 30, 2022 4:45 PM

R21, you Republicans always try and fail to prove that tons of dead people are voting. Aside from that Trump voter who voted under his dead wife's name

by Anonymousreply 42September 30, 2022 4:46 PM

R11, Biden is only a few years older than Trump. And he's not morbidly obese either. Fuck off, Republicans

by Anonymousreply 43September 30, 2022 4:48 PM

Why won't Mike DeWine debate?

by Anonymousreply 47October 12, 2022 7:24 AM

This is going to be a disaster. This whole campaign is a train wreck. So depressing to watch what was a slam dunk race sink into another Republican upset. The guy is not a debater in the best of times and the stroke has left him partially debilitated. He should have never done to - or done it earlier because doing it the week before the election will be the nail in the coffin from which he won’t have time to recover.

So pathetic how we let this race be lost to one of the worst candidates possible - sigh

by Anonymousreply 48October 12, 2022 2:01 PM

Conor Lamb should have ran.

by Anonymousreply 49October 12, 2022 4:42 PM

R49, he did and lost.

by Anonymousreply 50October 12, 2022 4:48 PM

R48, we have early voting. The majority will have already voted before said debate.

by Anonymousreply 51October 12, 2022 4:49 PM

Oh, dear, r49!

by Anonymousreply 52October 12, 2022 6:07 PM

[quote]If he is not recovered enough to debate how is he recovered enough to serve?

Yes, no way he is capable of serving alongside this mentally ill DINO…

Showing why early voting shouldn't be permitted. Fetterman is cynically taking advantage of the deliberately misinformed electorate.
