Have you had plastic surgery?

And if so what did you have?

I am seeing a lot of men take a month off and come back with the Joe Biden facelift scars from the vertical lift. Like Clooney and Pitt they grow the beard, then shave it off revealing the younger version.

The problem is without make up the scars are obvious.

I am all-natural, hunty!

You forgot “No.”

by Anonymousreply 2August 24, 2022 4:06 PM

A vertical lift shouldn't leave visible scarring.

by Anonymousreply 3August 24, 2022 4:46 PM

Nope. I try to drink water, exercise, stay out of the sun, use SPF, and do my best with a good skin-care routine. I don't smoke. I do drink, but we all have to do something.

I haven't botoxed, done injectables or anything else. Too afraid to have surgery and most of the time I think it looks worse.

by Anonymousreply 4August 24, 2022 4:48 PM

R3 the vertical lift makes a cut in front of the ear, of course it leave scarring.

R1 the human ken doll is now a barbie, it became a fake woman.

by Anonymousreply 5August 24, 2022 4:51 PM

I want to but I can't afford it at the moment.

by Anonymousreply 6August 24, 2022 4:52 PM

No.

by Anonymousreply 7August 24, 2022 4:53 PM

That little white line by the ear is a dead givaway.

I haven't. Missed opportunity to include "no" as a response.

by Anonymousreply 9August 24, 2022 5:09 PM

I had a brow lift and upper/lower Blepharoplasty

by Anonymousreply 10August 24, 2022 5:11 PM

I'm looking to tighten up my low hangers but don't want a scar.

by Anonymousreply 11August 24, 2022 5:17 PM

R5 That's a mini facelift. In a vertical facelift, the incisions are made in the hairline above the ears.

I had tickle liposuction a couple of years ago. It looked good for about 9 months.

by Anonymousreply 13August 24, 2022 6:10 PM

r10 - I'm this close to having lower Blepharoplasty. Nothing else will fix it. I had filler and laser. $5,500 but I want this fucking bag GONE. How did it go?

by Anonymousreply 14August 24, 2022 6:39 PM

I had an upper bleph. The scars are asymmetrical and I went to a very good, recommended surgeon. I mentioned it to her because now there is a small extra fold on one eyelid that wasn’t there before. She said “Well you can’t see it from head on so it’s not a big deal.” No bitch, I was paying to get rid of folds and creases, not for you to create new ones.

Judicious Botox and fillers can be helpful, but use sparingly. Botox in the forehead probably makes the most difference of anything you can inject. If your lip area is thin or sagging, Volbella is the most economical injectable to use in that region.

by Anonymousreply 15August 25, 2022 1:14 AM

If you participate in any kind of sport where you use goggles (swimming, etc.) do not get under-eye filler. The goggles will dent the filler and move it around and it will show up in photographs when you least expect it and make you look older than you did before. Fortunately a doc can inject some stuff (Kenalog?) to dissolve the filler.

What’s tickle liposuction? Is it like Tickle-me Elmo?

by Anonymousreply 17August 25, 2022 1:23 AM

No-one on DL does any sport, R16.

by Anonymousreply 18August 25, 2022 1:23 AM

I had liposuction like 10 years ago in my stomach area - honestly I regret it (and had to have more liposuction 3 years later to try and fix it). Honestly - it was not worth it and I regret it to this day.

by Anonymousreply 19August 25, 2022 1:23 AM

I Botox twice a year for my 11s, and did two Coolsculpting sessions on my sides and abdomen few years ago which gave me results I was happy with.

It's not plastic surgery per se, but I'm occasionally tempted to lower my hairline and fill in the temples a bit via FUE transplants now that I'm in my 50s, but I probably won't.

by Anonymousreply 20August 25, 2022 1:27 AM

Just a nose job but I want to get a second one to further improve it.

Also, I want hair restoration, upper blepharoplasty, brow lift, lip lift, etc.

Hopefully one of these days...

by Anonymousreply 21August 25, 2022 1:39 AM

R4 I also had CO2 laser 10 days after the surgery. Disappointed in that as it was seemed it did no more than a peel.

I’m happy the brow lift and the upper. He did a good job as it looks natural and not excessively pulled.

Im not thrilled with the lower as my left eye seems lightly swollen as if half the “bag" is still there but it’s still kind of new. I had this all done in May of this yr.

As r15 mentions...I paid to have them removed. I want it ALL gone.

by Anonymousreply 22August 25, 2022 2:05 PM

Just had my lower lids done and fat transfer to my face - WAAY swollen, but it looks great. Everyday it get better, 3rd day so far. Only problem is I gotta call out from work or ask to work remote. Fucking bruised and scabs. So happy I did it.

by Anonymousreply 23October 8, 2022 4:05 AM

No, I was born with these enormous lips!

by Anonymousreply 24October 8, 2022 4:10 AM

My complication had a little complication!

No, I haven't had plastic surgery. If anything, I'd like to get liposuction on my love handles.

by Anonymousreply 27October 8, 2022 4:30 AM

R23 Did you consider using any camouflage makeup like Dermablend?

I am having my under-eye blepharoplasty in January. And I am hoping by day four I will be able to venture out to run short errands. Of course, I will use sunglasses.

Recovery depends on if my surgeon uses the less invasive skin pinch technique, which I have heard can look pretty normal by day nine.

by Anonymousreply 28October 8, 2022 4:38 AM

R28 Its day 3 for me. 100% will be using makeup on the bruises under my eye. Also, the fat transfer kinda left marks on my face also. My gut is also really bruised from where they took the fat out. It's the best thing Ive done for myself. I wake up every morning and it looks a little bit better. I did tell the Dr to be aggressive because I don't want to do this again. The procedure is so different from getting filler or laser to try and correct the problem. This is the real deal, they remove the fat pad and you go under the knife. I put on a baseball cap & sunglasses and ran to Whole Foods today. I don't care, I'm actually okay going out - I AM worried about going to work, but I'll figure it out. There is really no GOOD time to have it done.

by Anonymousreply 29October 8, 2022 5:18 AM

R29, are you a man or a woman? Either way, be patient with your healing time. Doctors tell you you’ll be back to normal in X days or weeks, but it doesn’t always work out that way.

by Anonymousreply 30October 8, 2022 5:44 AM

I have tried ablative laser and thermage under eyes. It's a long recovery time with a minimal net result (like a 5-10% correction max). Of course, beauty spas will tell you otherwise.

Those non-invasive treatments can seem promising while the skin is still tight after treatment, but once recovered it pretty much looks the same as before. Acid peels can give better results but it's a long and unpleasant recovery.

It's hard to justify the expense with such little results when a full blepharoplasty is quicker to heal, and is a 100% permanent correction.

by Anonymousreply 31October 8, 2022 5:44 AM

R30 I'm a man. R31 100% agree. Blepharoplasty is the answer. I tired 2. types of filler and laser. The results weren't successful and the cost was a waste of money. One Dr promised results with filler and it was so lack luster I asked for a refund. They made me speak to the company representative, the filler was "Belotero" This procedure was $5,500 and more than worth it. I feel like it's done and I can focus on other things. I'm not obsessed with my looks, but this was bothering me. It's not any different than getting a haircut or going to the gym.
