I never get this obsession certain Dataloungers have with snooping out whether certain celebrities are only passing as white. What would it gain for them even if the celebrities are?

People with nonwhite backgrounds who are perceived as white are not passing for white. To be passing would indicate they are lying and saying they're white. You have people who are Iranian, Pakistani, Egyptian and others who just have light skin and play white American roles because that's what's available. Same deal with people like Jennifer Beals and Rashida Jones who are partially black but look white and get cast in white roles.

It's not their fault people make assumptions about them and they take what's available.

I think Brenton has Australian Aboriginal blood, in the way that many white New Zealanders claim to have a little bit of Maori blood, and white Americans claim to have Native American blood.

It's probably true, but not enough to make a difference in their appearance.

That said, Aborigines are darker and more African looking than Maori or Native Americans, which might explain why Brenton looks so tan.
