Love him. I’ll be sad when he’s gone. I just caught Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid last night, and he was charm personified ( Newman, too.)

He had movie star looks and was only capable of movie star acting.

I watched, "A River Runs Through It" last night. I saw it years ago. I really like the movie; he did a good job directing.

Buck would never have turned 86.

Hello, Gorgeous

I don’t get the appeal at all. I am a fan of his work but really try as I might I am not able to see the hype about his looks not in the 60s 70s or any time really. I would say he’s nice looking but not that’s about it. Now Paul Newman was very good looking to me, Warren Beatty was alright, Terence stamp was okay… Redford and Omar sharif are two who baffle me.

My friend lived briefly in Santa Fe in the late 80's. She told me he stood behind her in the checkout line at the grocery store. Said he was very short little man.

R11. How can you not think Redford is stunning in the OP pic? He's gorgeous.

R12. Redford is 5 ft 10½ in. That is not short.

Redford was a pretty boy who couldn't act, but sure could get the asses in the seats. Thus his long-time popularity in Hollywood.

He had that quintessential (sp) blond, WASPy, all American man look. He was perfectly cast in The Great Gatsby. Happy B-Day!

R13 I just don’t see it at all and if he is gorgeous it’s definitely not evident in that photo.
