Phil Collins and genesis were everywhere in the 80s. How did someone so unbelievably hideous become famous in the decade where the music video was born? I thought the music video was responsible for killing the careers of musicians far less ugly than Phil collins. What’s up with his survival? And this continued into the new century until he died.
Maybe people liked his songs.

He went bald prematurely i think. He was hot in the 1970s when he was the drummer for Genesis. I'm not a fan of his solo career which brought him his stardom.

No, his ex wife moved back into the Florida mansion when they briefly reunited, but then married a much younger escort while Phil was in Europe and moved the escort into Phil's mansion. Phil had to evict them.
Phil had a bad fall a few weeks ago while on tour and already has a lot of health problems.
