It's his generation and the ones after him who caused the hate because the sense of entitlement made them believe that simply having a particular skin color or religion or gender or sexuality, meant they should be prioritized whether they were qualified or not.

I've said it more times than I can count. But I'll say it again. The internet is is responsible for a large part of society's ills. It is both the best thing and the worst thing that ever happened to humanity. The internet bears much of the responsibility for tuning so many people into gullible, hateful, blithering, idiots. The republican party has capitalized on it and worked hard to keep many people as dumbed down as much as possible. And frankly, the democratic party hasn't done much to help. Our educational system has gone to shit. I graduated high school in 1970. Most kids today wouldn't have any possibility of getting through the educational system I went through. And let's not even get started on higher education. I earned bachelor's and master's degrees, and they were not easy to come by back then. Today we graduate students from colleges and universities who are only moderately literate. And once they graduate, if they're lucky enough to get some idiot to hire them they don't want to put in a full day of work.

Most times I think one of the benefits of being old is that I won't be around to watch things go completely down the toilet. But considering the trash about to take over the government that may end up not being true.
