Seriously, no. He’s always been ridiculously overhyped, especially as a politician. He lost the popular vote in both 2016 and 2020 and in midterm primaries and runoffs is not turning out to be the Republican kingmaker he was predicted to be.

Once the powers that be in the Republican party (the real power - not the clowns people elect), decide that someone is no longer viable, the decision is final.

With Trump, the decision has been made and it is final.

GOP still likes keeping Trump around because he's a juggernaut when it comes to fundraising. The size of his war chest is unheard of for a defeated former president. I have no idea what he'll do with all that money, but he's going to be calling at least some shots this November and in 2024, in some form or another.
