The Forgotten Gay Romantic Comedy: 2004's "Straight-Jacket"

Made by the same overlooked queens who brought you "Girls Will Be Girls," this cute and cheaply-made comedy shows the highs and lows (mostly lows) of being a gay actor at a B-movie studio in the 50s. Matt Letscher IS the star. Adam Greer IS the hunky love interest. Veronica Cartwright IS a bull-dyke. Coco Peru IS an aggressive 50s lesbian.

It's definitely more fun than Ryan Murphy's "Hollywood," but has anyone outside of TLA Releasing ever seen this movie?

Movie was ok. I saw the original Off Broadway play and it was a lot of fun. Jackie Hoffman was the agent and she was hilarious. I remember that a soap actor started the role and then half way through and he was gone and replaced by the same actor that took over his soap role.
