I’m pondering, but as always hubz is resistant.
Electric Car Owners - Love/Hate, Model, Any Remorse? Details Please!

I own a Kia Soul 2019 model. Limited range (200 km), but I only drive short distances anyway. I literally have a 10 minute drive to work. I charge it at home once a week. It's good enough for me. What do you wonder about, OP? Happy to answer any questions you might have.

I would wait a few more years OP, by then there will be many more choices and at a lower price.
Last year I bought a hybrid crossover which I think is a great compromise between electric and gas.

I drive quite a bit between two states and think a hybrid would be the best option for me now. I recently had to buy a new car fast and couldn't find a hybrid - I wound up buying a Hyundai Sonata and it is getting 43mpg on the highway.

My next and last car will be electric. I need 300 miles range and a cost under $50K. Prefer sedans.
I won't be in the market for a few years yet because my 2008 Prius is chugging along.

R4 The cheapest electric cars here in Norway are Renault Zoe, Kia Soul and Nissan Leaf. None of them have the range you want. VW ID4 has the range you want, but it's more expensive.

Husband has always had Cadillac and we’re 3rd in line come November for the Lyric SUV. It will be our last car too.
We went to the dealership to see it in person, one car touring for the entire state and we couldn’t test drive or even touch it!
It’s a breathtaking machine that looks like a prop from the recent remake of Lost In Space. It doesn’t look at all like any recent Cadillac- it is much more “space age”- it reminded me instead of the 60’s ones my mom would drive.
It also made me feel like a sad old man, to see such a technological marvel but our planet is burning to death and we can’t do anything about it.

And as I’m sure you know R4 there are now very affordable DIY kits to replace aging Prius NmH batteries with lithium ion packs, extending the life and electric range of the car even further.

Wake me when an electric Escalade or Suburban comes to market. Until then, it's gas cars for me.

R4 Try the Hyundai Ioniq 5. It's fairly cheap and has a range of about 300 miles.

The EV has made my life less difficult . It truly is a great investment

Love! Tesla model s. Best car I have owned.

Leasing might be smarter than buying, because the market and the technology are changing so rapidly. EVs are losing their value pretty quickly.
I have a Hyundai Kona that I'm perfectly happy with but I would love an Ioniq 6.

For those of you who installed home chargers -- how much did it cost you, and did you already have a 240V outlet available? (I do not -- my garage only has a gas dryer hookup (110).

The charging stations are a mad house. Takes over 2 hours to get through and charged. Pass.

Finding a charging station on the road is impossible.

R19 I have an Easee home charger. Costed me like 10k or 15k Norwegian kroner, which is like 1k to 1.5k us dollars, for the charger and the installation.

I'm waiting for the Lexus LF-ZC, hopefully coming in 2026. I'm also hoping for an electric ES, but they've made no announcement of an electric version.

I just got an Ioniq 5 and I love it. The drive is incredibly smooth. Queuing up at a charging station, however, is so far a bit of a pain in the ass.

I love those electricities

I bought a new car last year, and seriously considered an electric. I test drove the BMW I4, Tesla Model 3, Audi E-Tron. I went with the Audi because my previous car was also an Audi and I drove it to 140k miles.
I heard Porsche is going to release an all electric 718 Cayman in the next couple years. So I might trade in the Audi for the Porsche if my mid-life crisis hits at the same time as release.

Mercedes EQS - luxury spaceship. Haven’t taken it on a far trip yet, only local. I have a charger in my garage.
