OP must be my mother, posting from beyond the grave. I TOLD YOU to stop eating that garbage!

Is it on Wonderbread, or Nabisco Saltines? My mother only used those for this.

I have some Libby's Luncheon meat! Gonna use that in a grilled cheese.

by Anonymousreply 2June 15, 2022 5:50 AM

It's no corned beef, that's for sure.

by Anonymousreply 3June 15, 2022 5:50 AM

I loved it till I read the ingredients.

No, but my cat is.

by Anonymousreply 6June 15, 2022 6:04 AM

Lol R6.

I don't think even a cat would eat that shit.

by Anonymousreply 7June 15, 2022 6:15 AM

The term "potted meat" evokes all sorts of thought, none of which screams edible.

by Anonymousreply 8June 15, 2022 6:15 AM

You really need to upgrade to canned salmon, OP.

by Anonymousreply 9June 15, 2022 6:16 AM

I wish they still made these sandwich spreads. They were canned, peel top and DELICIOUS. Chicken ham and tuna salad. The name, Spreadables, left a bit to be desired, but they were divine!

What exactly does Potted Meat Product taste like?

by Anonymousreply 11June 15, 2022 6:19 AM

R11, Whiskas.

by Anonymousreply 12June 15, 2022 6:20 AM

Salty, fatty, tangy wet….

by Anonymousreply 13June 15, 2022 6:22 AM

Mechanically recovered meat dust.

by Anonymousreply 14June 15, 2022 7:29 AM

"Momma, what is tripe?"

"Pig stomach."

I was done.

So it tastes like pussy?

by Anonymousreply 16June 15, 2022 11:04 AM

OPs pic looks like something my cat threw up.

I loved potted meat when I was a child. Ate it on white bread with Miracle Whip. It tastes somewhat like ground baloney.

If I tried to eat it today, I'd probably wretch.

Rofl!

Isn't bologna already ground up??

Why did they have to grind it up some more? To turn it into a paste? Or a dip??

Blech!

I condole you, OP.

Thoughts & Prayers, OP

I miss liver cheese!

by Anonymousreply 24June 17, 2022 8:37 AM

Why, R23? It’s still around.

by Anonymousreply 25June 17, 2022 8:55 AM

Deviled Ham is where it's at.

It's like a cheap version of pâté.

Safeway hides it, r25, and pushes it aside for the 50th variety of brat - precooked with plasticky skins.
