If you've never battled before you'll be at Level 1 which is playing against other beginners.

Battle league is quite simple, pick a team and experiment with them!

Grass destroys Water. Water destroys Fire, Fire destroys grass, Psychic destroys Fighting destroys Rock, Rock destroys flying and so on.

Granbull is one of my best battlers. She uses "Charm" as a Fast TM (when you tap) and then Close Combat (100) or Crunch (70) as a Charged TM (after enough tapping you can execute a move). The numbers indicate how long it takes to get to that charged move and how effective it can be.

Also if you just need to clock up the battles for the "battle in the Go Battle League 20 times" enter the battle league with your weakest Pokemon and you'll lose really quickly!

Did any evolve a Starly for community day and get Gust?

Galerian Zigzagoon will be the Community Day pokemon for August. There will be 2x candy, 3x stardust and 2x chance at getting XL candy. If you evolve a Galerian Linoone to Obstagoon it will the charged attack Obstruct. Shines of each stage of this pokemon will also be available for catching. Community Day will take place on August 13th from 11A.M. to 2P.M. local time.

A new event starting July 27th- August 2nd will see the release of Hisuian Growlithe,Qwilfish and Sneasel.

A new daily adventure incense is being released. It will last 15 minutes. If you have less than 30 standard, great or ultra poke balls, you will be gifted free poke balls after activating the incense. The incense is supposed to increase the chance of catching pokemon not usually seen in the wild. There is also the rare chance of seeing galarian Zapdos,Moltres and Articuno but there catch rate is said to extremely low. You also can't use the adventure incense with another incense.

New season starts this week! New pokemons will be released too! Anyone excited?😊

I am r17 although I wish they would do something about the "Weak Connection" in the battle leagues.

I hope we'll get better community days. I haven't played a single community day in months. What's the point when the featured pokemon is shit. I want a new pokemon or a rare pokemon. I seriously don't get why they always choose pokemom that you can catch every day.

I'm looking forward to it - want some more shadows and new challenges.

After the Hisuian versions were released Sneasler and Overqeill became evolvable a collector challenge appeared - to complete it you need 7 Hisuian pokemon.

The Pokedex is:

899 - Wyrdeer (Stantler evolution)

900 - Kleavor (Scyther evolution)

901- Ursaluna (teddiursa evolution)

902 - Basculegion (Basculin evolution)

903 - Sneasler

904 - Overqwill

905 - Enamorus (brand new)

And it just so happens that Scyther, Basculin and Teddiursa have been appearing more often with the "special incense".

I've mostly been getting Yungoos showing up on my adventure incense.

Why do we not have any info on the season of light yet? It's 2 days away yet we know nothing... wtf?! I want to know about the special research, what pokemon will be appearing, community days, raid pokemon etc.

I started playing in 2016, I [italic]swear[/italic], but only to collect things… and to humour my then-teenage son who begged me to play (he grew up with schoolfriends bringing their pokemon card binders to school), who, of course, promptly stopped playing. He unleashed the fucking completist in me, though.

I’m starting to like destroying people in battle, though - it’s fun.

Hey R9! Glad I found this thread. I haven’t been playing because adventure sync stopped working on my phone, but I’ll re-load so we can become ultra friends.

Probably five years ago there was an event in which region-specific Pokémon were available in regions where they weren’t usually available.

I keep hoping that comes back. I can’t complete some of the regional Pokédexes.

Cosmic Companion research

Roggenrola is the pokemon for September CD. Not what I wanted but it could have been worse.

25 Cosmog candies as a reward is pointless when the max CP with normal candies is 401 and with XL candies is 453.

I finally had my first encounter with one of the Galarian birds but like 97%+ of players it ran away after my first attempt to catch it.

Litwick is October's community day pokemon. There will be 3x stardust and 2x candy 🍬 bonuses. If Litwuck is evolved all the way up to Chandelure it will learn the exclusive ghost type move Poltergeist. The move Poltergeist is a new move making its debut during community day. Community day will once again last from 2p.m.-5p.m local time. After 5p.m. Chandelure will begin appearing in 4-star raids and if you win, it will spawn Litwicks for the next 30 minutes around the gym.

I am less than 100k to lvl 40! I will have that Gyrados hat by the weekend! I still can't get the daily incense to work though.

I caught three Celesteelas through Pokeraid. Two were 3-star but not particularly impressive IV wise. Stick with the auto join queue and let the app send you push notifications so you know where you are on line.

Hope the Lavender Town theme returns for Halloween. That and Giovanni's theme are the only times I turn the music on.

I'm about to just give up on the battle league because it looks like Ninatic doesn't seem interested trying to fix it.

A 2 part Halloween event is coming.

A new type of raid is coming called Elite raids but the catch is that you can't use remote Raid passes on these type of raids, you have to physically be at the former EX pokemon gym, they have a 24hr timer before hatching and you will only have 30 minutes to complete the raid once the egg hatches. Elite raid start times are 11:00A.M., 2:00P.M. and 5:00P.M. local time and they will be infrequent. Hoopa Unbound will be the first Elite raid pokemon.

I missed Litwick community day 😭.

Teddiursa will be November's community day pokemon on Nov. 12th. Ursaluna will be making its debut. If you evolve Ursaring during an in game full moon it will evolve into Ursaluna and if you do it during community day it will learn the brand new move High Horsepower.

If you miss the full 🌝 you will not be able to evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna until the next full moon.

The pokemon Zorua was released for the first 5 minutes during Shuppet spotlight hour but would manifest like Ditto in earliest timezones. In that it would disguise itself as other pokemon. Due to a glitch, Zorua was taking on the CP, moves and stats of player's buddy pokemon including getting CP's higher than what's supposed to be its maximum CP. Due to this. Zorua will not be released for those in timezones where Shuppet spotlight hour hasn't happened yet. Those who already have captured Zorua will not be able to use it in Go Battle League or trade it for now. While Niantic works on the problem.

I guess Niantic has mostly "fixed" the Zorua issue because now back available for catching.

New pokemon Gimmighoul will be available for catch in it's roaming form in 2023 if you link Pokémon Go with Pokémon Scarlet and Violet from Nintendo Switch.

Reminder that during the Team Rocket take over event, you can remove frustration from your shadow pokemon with a charged TM.

Also the prize for beating Giovanni is shadow Mewtwo.

I finally caught a Zangoose and had a Galarien Articuno appear but it got away.

Prices are going up for remote raid passes. From 100 to 195 for a single pass and from 300 to 525 for a 3 pack. There's still a limit of 3 raid passes that you can hold in your bag at one time and there will now be a maximum of 5 remote raids that you can do per day.

Sorry for all of y'all that I had been playing with. I was in a pretty bad car accident a few weeks ago, so I haven't been able to get out as much to send gifts. Also the new remote raid changes suck balls.

Sorry for what happened to you Xanadu. I hope that you get better and back on your feet. It's ridiculous that they increased the price on Remote Raid passes 😒.

Saw a tweet earlier from someone who caught 4000 Pokemon today. 4000!!!! If he (I'm assuming it's a man) played for 13 consecutive hours he'd have to catch 5 every 60 seconds to reach 4000.

Why is the new teacup pokemon only available in raids? I only have like 2 gyms within a 1 mile radius, this means hardly ever any raids :(
