Do you find Joel Edgerton attractive?

When he was younger, yes. Baz Luhrmann was clearly madly in lust with him when he made "The Great Gatsby"--there's a long take of the Buchanan mansion that ends with this incredible shot of Edgerton's ass as he walks into the house.

I think it's fascinating, though, that Edgerton clearly has a brain and has since been much more interested in being known for that than for his great ass. He's directed films and written screenplays... clearly he has more to offer than I would have thought.

He used to live near me before his career took off. Really friendly neighbourhood guy. And as often with people on the screen - very short.

Great underrated actor.He was spectacularly effective as a mentally- damaged -beyond- repair weirdo in The Gift. Really good and creepy performance. The film was only released in 2015 but I don't think it would be made today. At least not without significant plot revisions.

His brains and wit make him more attractive . Brilliant under appreciated actor director and writer.

The Gift is one of my favorite films. I don’t understand why R 3 said it would not be made today without plot revisions . The « weirdo ´s » character is well developed — history of abuse and being bullied. Extremely interesting between him and Jason Bateman’s character, who turns out to be the truly deranged sicko, to the surprise of his wife and colleagues .

It’s on Netflix now.

Boy Erased is a film I want to admire but I find it so detached and clinical. Maybe because Edgerton is not gay. I don't know. It lacked something.

He was hotter a few years ago.

R11 Well I agree that The Gift is an excellent psychological thriller. I'm guessing that a possible implied rape ( though I don't believe it actually occured) of the female character to punish the male for destroying Gordos life would not have been a plot point today. Though I could be wrong.

Talented guy but OP is right, there's something uncanny valley-ish about his features.

He played that role of "Charlie," perfectly.

I used to live near him and we chatted a few times. Is shorter than expected and has a REALLY big face/head. Never quite seemed to crack it in the way that his publicity implied he would.

R24 He is very cool in that "actor" way. Sort of a nonchalant, low-vibe, counter-culture but not really person. Not handsome in real life, but you could tell he would photograph well because of his huge face.
