DiMera Enterprises was certainly never a part of the story in the 1980s when the DiMera clan first appeared. Wasn't ever mentioned in the 90s either. Likewise, Cassadine Industries on GH was not part of the story in the 1980s or 1990s either.

I think the first time I heard mention of DiMera Enterprises was about 10-12 years ago. I think it was first mentioned around the time that Stephano was trying to get to know his newly discovered son Chad. Maybe a little earlier.

As for Cassadine Industries, I think that was first mentioned about the time Valentin Cassadine appeared in 2016.
