Frankie Jonas is colloquially known as the “bonus Jonas.”
The younger brother to Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas, who grew up in Wyckoff and Little Falls, is not part of the Jonas Brothers, but he is a Jonas brother.
Now Frankie, 21, a Columbia University student who was born in Ridgewood, is joining with big brother Kevin, 34, to co-host a reality competition series all about familial connections to celebrity.
(Not that Frankie isn’t quite the celebrity of his own — just look at his TikTok with its 1.9 million followers.)
The show, ABC’s “Claim to Fame,” will see 12 relatives of celebrities shack up together while keeping their famous connections under wraps — as per the network, “concealing their identity and lineage in the quest for their own fame and fortune.”
Like many reality series, there will be various challenges to scale and alliances to be formed in the house.
The prize for the person who can keep their famous relative a secret the longest: $100,000 (and, of course, the titular claim to fame).
Married to Jonas Kevin and Danielle Jonas starred in the E! reality series "Married to Jonas." The competition series marks Kevin Jonas’ return to reality TV. Jonas and his wife Danielle (formerly Danielle Deleasa of Denville), who have two daughters, previously starred in “Married to Jonas,” an E! reality show that ran from 2012 to 2013.
A first promo for the ABC series was released Friday showing Kevin and Frankie as hosts.
“Claim to Fame,” premiering July 11, will air on ABC and stream on Hulu.
