I believe the Chrysler line of cars had them. They looked like the pic below.

I learned to drive in a 1964 Plymouth Fury with a push-button automatic transmission. Park was a lever!

I used to love those. I thought it was the coolest thing and I couldnāt wait till I was old enough to drive so I could push those buttons. Unfortunately by that time push button transmissions were a thing of the past. I have a push button ignition however in my Hyundai, and ya know what? I was right, it is cool. š

They were clunky and ahead of their time. And it seems like only Chrysler products and Chevy Corsairās had them. With electronic steering and transmission linkages, you would think cars would have push button transmission selectors again. Teslas is strange being on the steering column like a 70s or 80s car.
