You should first read the Merriam-Webster dictionary, turn off your computer and climb out of your parent’s basement for some much needed sunlight. You could maybe even get a job?

Are you part of the democratic socialists, is that why you're afraid of money?

Stay in your room and avoid him. Do not share towels, clothes or lie in his bed. the pox can have pus and the pus is full of virus. so don't sit in the same couch either. Stay in your room and avoid him.

Apply this liberally all over your body twice a day, and you’ll be fine OP.

Hazmat suit in all communal areas. Sterilize the toilet seat with a flame thrower.

Check into a hotel or an AirBnB for a couple months.

If this is a serious question (and I know that's a big if) you would be at real risk of getting it IF your roommate became infected. Especially if there is significant physical contact , meaning touching. Touch is the main risk. Air born infection apparently becomes more likely after symptoms appear.
