Marjorie Taylor Greene Purchased A $92,000 Vehicle With Donor Funds
Story broken first by a conservative pundit...since that seems to be going so well for Madison...
[quote] As of the time of writing, the website of the dealership in question shows no vehicles for sale with a sticker price above $81,860. That would get you a brand spanking new 2022 GMC Sierra 2500 HD AT4 truck complete with leather upholstery, two first row LCD monitors, a Premium GMC Infotainment System, and six speakers. So whatever MTG bought, it’s swankier than this.
[quote] Playing around on the GMC website, it looks like she ordered a 2022 GMC Yukon XL SUV with just about every available amenity and add-on.

my aunt also purchased a pricey vehicle in the $60K range. I just can't comprehend spending that much money on something that depreciates as soon as you leave the lot

Of course she's the type of person who would drop 90k on a really big truck. Anyone with taste would buy a loaded german car. Trash with money.

She's gross. This is gross.
What more can you say?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | May 10, 2022 8:53 PM

It's a violation of federal law to use campaign contributions to purchase a car.
The only exception - and it's a THIN one - is the purchase of a vehicle for campaign usage, with ample documentation that the vehicle is registered to a campaign organization and not the candidate, and that mileage/usage by the candidate is only at a "de minimis" rate. The burden of proof and documentation is on the campaign/candidate to demonstrate that they have obeyed the law.

Trump blatantly broke ALL campaign funds laws and also all laws about emoluments as a public official and US President.
There is ZERO accountability now for anything. Many democrats are dirty as fuck, as well. Senators with their Stock Trading - on both sides of the aisle.
Its all revolting. Taylor Greene's 92K is a small change compared to the grift by the big wigs.

Well, guess what?
These idiot flying monkeys will continue to support her even if she literally picks their pockets. Just like they do with every other grifter. These shit-for-brains still worship Bannon who was caught on a god damned Chinese billionaire's yacht having stolen their money.
These are stupid, hateful people who dumbass "moderate" enablers think we're supposed to reach out to. No, they want to hate everyone who is different. They love hating people who are different and they don't care how much these Nazis grift from them as long as they "own the libs."

She won’t be held accountable for her actions. It will be ignored and forgotten.
In the meantime, if a Democratic representative buys a paper clip, then it’s a national scandal.

Also of note, I don't think it accidental that this dropped on the first days of early voting for the Georgia primary.

She isn't an elected official. That doesn't mean what she did isn't wrong, but it's not the same. I bet you're the fool in the ivermectin thread who just acted like taking your medical advice from a D-list comedian is the same as taking advice from a doctor.
You're really shit at analogies.

Maybe she's smarter than we think. She can drive this thing all over the country to raise money and go to Klan rallies to boost her re-election, thus it would qualify as a campaign expense. We know its fleecing the rubes, but if she has good lawyers/accountants there'll be no penalty.
Things like this are why the Republicans are constantly trying to defund the IRS. Remember the whole 'Lois Lerner scandal' when they were closely scrutinizing scam charitable orgs that were 95% right wing grifting scams? Yep, so they had investigations and made a huge deal out of it.

While I was researching the law on this, I also read that candidates are allowed to draw a salary from campaign funds that is "equal to the salary of the office being sought."
This explains why people like Nina Turner and Josh Mandel keep running for office and losing. They're able to suck up a salary of over $170k without having to do any of the actual work of legislating.
