There’s a certain kind of gay man that even conservative women enjoy watching. A younger John Barrowman hosting variety shows for instance.

Hallmark binge-watching women don’t care. He’s believable kissing women (Jonathan Bennett isn’t), is cute, non-threatening, a decent reasonable. He fits into that George Michael territory. The female fans who didn’t figure out that he was gay years before he was arrested didn’t mind, on the whole. He lost very few of that female demographic because they found him likeable.

Hallmark's shitty generic fare is harmless and I like they finally got some gays and minorities on board. GAC Family is now what Hallmark used to be for conservative fundie Karens from flyover country who want just white heterosexuality. Candy Cameron signed on to GAC, so so much for being a "gay icon" (the words of E****na not mine).
