Despite Silas being a popular model [and apparently a very nice guy according to some other Helix models], Max should never have been allowed to direct him once they became a couple. That should have been a no-no and Keith should have put his foot down. End of story. Why he didn’t do that is a mystery.

One of the main reasons Max was fired is because Silas is a popular model and didn’t want Max around when he filmed? Seriously? Easy solution - prevent Max from being around Silas when he was in a scene. Scenes are filmed either where Alex & Casey live, Max live (or used to live), and where Keith lives (I think they may have filmed some b-roll at Kyle’s place as well). But the majority of the scenes are filmed where Alex & Casey live. Silas not wanting Max around during his shoots is fine and the answer could have been a lot simpler than Max being fired.

Make Silas the exclusive model of Alex Roman to direct. Controversy averted.

There’s something more to this story. You can’t just fire someone because of what they did in their personal life, unless Max started to fuck up as a director; models would complain, the end-product was shit, etc. Those are valid reasons why someone is fired, not cause they fucked their boyfriend’s twin brother. It’s stupid and idiotic but not a reason to lose a job. But… if that really is the reason, then Helix/Keith are hypocrites cause this shit has been going on for years. Max Carter just happens to be the first casualty from a management perspective. And yeah, Dennis was fired previous to this but it wasn’t because he was fucking Noah White.

Maybe there is a pattern with Max. He's a known racist. A known stalker. He's made a ton of bad decisions that have been documented her and elsewhere. Was Max expendable? I'm not so sure. The point of having multiple directors is producing more and more content for release down the line, so if you want to take a break or want to work on a production like "Vegas Nights", you have the scenes to release while filming these larger productions or even taking time off. I believe NDS currently has three full-time directors and they've really built up their Disruptive Films branch.

I think Helix has multiple problems, none of which will be solved if they don't see a hit to their bottom line. Personally, I believe 8teenboy has taken over from the Helix brand, hence the lacklustre models they have on their roster, for the most part. The allure of 8teenboy is the skinny, almost anorexic type of twink. Helix' stable was once filled with guys like Corey Marshall, Johnny Hands, Blake Mitchell, Luke Wilder, etc., models who defied the twink genre but who filmed with models like Tyler Hill and Kyle Ross and Cameron Parks, etc., leading to Helix being the studio models would go to if they wanted to (1) get into the business and (2) make some quick and easy $$$ and (3) be a part of a "family" that got together for dinners and parties and such.

Their luck would be that once one of these models left or retired, they'd fill their roster with someone else, who was just as popular or even more so - Joey, Angel, etc. But drama has always always always followed Helix, and those who know about the behind-the-scenes antics (from the disastrous book tour to Max and team snorting coke off Tyler Hill's ass to Max trying to get into Trevor Harris' apartment at 4am without permission... to of course the "rumors" of Alex and Max fucking or at least trying to fuck the models) always turned a blind eye. Until now. Until a popular model's boyfriend, who happened to be a long-time employee of Helix, crossed too many lines for Keith and had to be fired.

Could it have been because he was a lousy director? Yeah, that could be part of the reason why he was fired. And honestly, I don't get why Max was fired for fucking Drake behind Silas' back - if that really was the only reason, and apparently it was at the very least a major cause for his firing, then Max may have a case for wrongful dismissal. And it's also weird that Keith allowed Max to continue living in the Helix mansion on Pale Pueblo Court in Vegas while Max looked for an apartment. He could have moved in with Kyle or other Vegas-based friends. Hell, Kurt Summers would probably have let him stay with him in San Diego while he looked for a Vegas apartment.

So yeah, a lot of the above posters bring up some really interesting points, and I'm sure some of them could be the truth. We'll never know, so we continue to speculate.

If anything r156 Helix could get in trouble for allowing a member of management like Max have a sexual relationship with what could be considered a subordinate. Helix is supposed to have rules against that type of thing not that they pay attention to them. If anyone has a case it's Silas not Max. The words coercion and harassment come to mind but those terms are fuzzy when you work in the sex industry.

R157 Max is not the first member of management to have a sexual relationship with what could be considered a subordinate. Dennis Bilgin, their former VP of Technology and a very long-time Helix employee (and alleged drug dealer for Joey et. al.) was involved with Noah White for quite a while. So long that Noah moved to Montreal (where Dennis lived) and they were supposed to get married. It was as serious as it could get, with Dennis refusing to allow Noah to film any bareback scenes; if you have access to Noah's scenes, check out how many he filmed without a condom.

And while this was going on, Keith turned a blind eye to it. And one can argue Dennis ruined Noah's Helix career (though Noah is trying a comeback of sorts these days, attempting the move from twink to twunk).

Dennis was eventually fired because he tried to take over the company with Jett Black while Keith was on a cruise with his assistant Paulie. And even then Keith took his sweet time to relieve Dennis of his duties, because Dennis had access to ALL of Helix's backend and no one else had the passwords. So if Keith had thrown Dennis overboard (no pun intended), Keith would have been the one screwed because Dennis had the keys to the kingdom.

So yeah, Helix is supposed to have rules against this but as you point out, NO ONE pays any attention to them, until a model like Silas makes a big deal about it.

As of today, I have resigned from Helix. With this being said, do not contact me in regards to my experience, or any information that I knew as part of Helix. It just wasn't the right fit for me. With that in mind, I am not leaving the industry, nor against studios contacting.

And speaking of Max Carter, what a weird situation that is… he is still promoting Silas’ content on his OF channel and Silas is doing the same; Max tweeted last night another of his collabs with Silas AND tweeted that he filmed Silas' OF scene with FTM model Noahwaybabes. I have no clue as to why Silas won't tell people what is up with him and Max? Yeah, boyfriends cheat on each other all the time; there is no surprise nor shock there.
