Amber Heard Reportedly Featured in 'Aquaman 2' for Less Than 10 Minutes

LAMO

Amber Heard's career may already be suffering because of Johnny Depp's trial -- she reportedly has a significantly smaller role in 'Aquaman 2' ... amounting to mere minutes.

According to film journalist Grace Randolph -- who's known to get solid comic book movie scoops like this -- Amber will, apparently, be featured in less than 10 minutes of screen time in "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom."

No other context was offered, which is actually crucial to understanding this -- namely, whether Amber's supposed reduced presence is a recent development, or if it'd been written that way since the beginning. In any case ... it's interesting this news is surfacing now.

The film wrapped in January, with director James Wan posting a congratulatory IG with Jason Momoa and Patrick Wilson (a new character) ... but strangely, not mentioning Amber at all. She was a huge part of the first film -- Jason's love interest -- and yet ... crickets.

Jason himself doesn't appear to have been tagging, posting with or mentioning Amber either on his social media these past several months -- so that, too, is kinda telling. He has been doing some promotional stuff for 'Aquaman' here and there ... but always solo, or with Pat.

Of course, the film itself has also been bumped schedule-wise -- it was originally supposed to be released around the holidays this year ... but Warner Bros. pushed it back to March, citing COVID-related production delays.

These films are living, breathing entities subject to change until they're actually released. Assuming this report is true, WB could easily attribute sidelining Amber for story reasons as opposed to hanging it on the court revelations that have surfaced these past few weeks.

With that said, fans of Johnny -- of which there are many amid this trial -- are probably giddy to hear this rumor. As you might know, there's an unofficial petition going around calling for her to be recast in 'Aquaman 2,' and it's already got 2 mil-plus signatures.

She was honestly the best part of the first. It’s a shame.

by Anonymousreply 1May 1, 2022 4:03 AM

She wasnt in the first one that long.

by Anonymousreply 2May 1, 2022 4:03 AM

She was in the first for a good 40 minutes r2

by Anonymousreply 3May 1, 2022 4:07 AM

I told Aquaman he could not marry a woman without gills. They are from two different worlds!

by Anonymousreply 4May 1, 2022 4:07 AM

Shame. Mera is a great character.

by Anonymousreply 5May 1, 2022 4:09 AM

She was charisma free in the first one so that's a smart move

by Anonymousreply 6May 1, 2022 4:10 AM

Mera was the coolest part of the first. I actually liked Heard in it.

by Anonymousreply 7May 1, 2022 4:10 AM

Why are they saying Patrick Wilson is a new character? He was in the first one.

by Anonymousreply 8May 1, 2022 4:12 AM

Johnny Depp's career needs to end, too.

by Anonymousreply 9May 1, 2022 4:55 AM

Yes, I don't even smoke and I'm tempted to use his face as an ashtray.

by Anonymousreply 10May 1, 2022 5:23 AM

Stop posting I hate Amber threads!!!!!!!! You are a TROLL! We get it—you are OBSESSED with how much you hate her.

Grow up.

by Anonymousreply 11May 1, 2022 5:28 AM

I never even heard of Amber Heard lol but based on how much she's hated by people who stan the disgusting, alcoholic, drug abusing, violent to his other wives and girlfriends, hotel abusing, drug abusing, stinking, asshole, Johnny Depp, I'm on her side.

This trial makes him look even worse. What a dumb fuck.

by Anonymousreply 12May 1, 2022 5:31 AM

He’s dumb and addled by alcohol, but she is even worse.

by Anonymousreply 13May 1, 2022 5:40 AM

She pooped in this bed-lol. Did she see his movie, "Chocolat".

by Anonymousreply 14May 1, 2022 5:43 AM

It's hard to be taken seriously once you shit the bed. While one can sometimes excuse an accidental shit under the right circumstances, purposeful bed shitting will always be seen as leading to the breakdown of our society.

by Anonymousreply 15May 1, 2022 6:07 AM

It's done to show dominance. To mark territory. Their poor maid.

by Anonymousreply 16May 1, 2022 6:08 AM

When she wins the trial they’ll add more of her footage into the film. Right now Hollywood is rolling on Depp. Which is foolish.

by Anonymousreply 17May 1, 2022 6:12 AM

R17 Look, Johnny will lose this defamation trial, and he KNOWS it. He just wants to tell the truth and exposes Amber for what she is, an evil psychopath and a pathological liar. Johnny got nothing to lose at this point. and I think Amber will be finished as well after the trial even when Depp loses.

by Anonymousreply 18May 1, 2022 6:25 AM

Back in the Golden Days of Hollywood they would have driven themselves off one of the many cliffs available on the Pacific Coast Highway. Fucking driveover trash can't comprehend glamour.

by Anonymousreply 19May 1, 2022 6:36 AM

Does this mean more screentime for Patrick Wilson's ass?

by Anonymousreply 20May 1, 2022 7:12 AM

R20 did he show it alot in the first movie?

by Anonymousreply 21May 1, 2022 9:15 AM

Johnny Depps lawyers are allegedly connected to bot farms. I kid you not. Someone is deep diving on them on Twitter as the bots are swarming everybody's accounts. They are running them through bot detector programs. It's a huge amount of bots.

by Anonymousreply 22May 1, 2022 10:03 AM

r22 I can believe it, based on the live chat that one of the YouTube channels hosts during their trial livestream. It's all pro-Depp, all the time.

The whole thing is profoundly depressing to me. Maybe it shouldn't be. But I feel it's a sign -- or a reminder -- of how much our society fundamentally hates women.

Thank god YouTube and social media didn't exist during the OJ trial.

by Anonymousreply 23May 1, 2022 10:14 AM

Johnny was abused by that evil witch

by Anonymousreply 24May 1, 2022 12:32 PM

🙄

by Anonymousreply 25May 1, 2022 12:47 PM

Are they talking about the Aquaman 2 scenes?

He's not telling the truth, though.

[quote]Johnny got nothing to lose at this point.

He's losing millions of dollars.

Are you really an international fan of Johnny Depp or are you being paid to post? Your English is terrible.

The entire culture is veering far right. Racism, homophobia, sexism, it's all getting worse and worse and becoming more mainstream again. It's not surprising, everyone is scared and stressed out and when that happens to an entire society, they start trotting out the scapegoats again.

Also, all the complaints about "wokeism" are just people fed up with having to behave themselves, they want to go back to being able to use slurs and being rude to people because of what they are.

by Anonymousreply 28May 1, 2022 1:06 PM

Johnny Depp may have issues with drink and drugs, but so far this trial has proved nothing more than he's an eccentric who cares deeply about his friends, family and the people he works with or employs.

Amber, on the other hand, has been exposed as an unhinged, narcissistic, greedy, sociopathic whore. That is entirely her fault.

Given the evidence so far, it is staggering that there are still people dumping on Depp and making Heard out to be a victim.

His friends like MM? A rapist? Yeah he must really care about his family to make MM the kids godfather. Or joking about raping Amber's burnt corpse. What a swell guy.

by Anonymousreply 30May 1, 2022 1:53 PM

"These films are living breathing entities" oh spare me.

r28 you articulated that perfectly. I've been thinking about this a lot lately. I don't want to be a MARY!!! but I fear dark times are ahead.

by Anonymousreply 32May 1, 2022 2:15 PM

Thank god that she and Armie Hammer didn't make a movie together.

There would be nothing left once their roles were reduced.

by Anonymousreply 33May 1, 2022 2:36 PM

Sidelining the girlfriend is an easy place to free up screentime for the new characters these comic book films like to introduce. Last example I can remember is Vanessa being fridged in Deadpool 2.

Plus these scoopers like Grace Randolph throw out a lot of rumours that turn out to be untrue, so this could be straight up wrong.

by Anonymousreply 34May 1, 2022 2:49 PM

R34 Is this one true?

Woah here it says 2.5 million people wanted her out. No wonder it's less than 10 minutes!

That’s a shame. She was good in the first movie and she made me understand the Mera character more than DC Comics ever did.

by Anonymousreply 37May 1, 2022 7:08 PM

In all honesty it's Aquanet II's loss. Just like Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker was all the worse for the lack of Kelly Marie Tran.

by Anonymousreply 38May 1, 2022 7:16 PM

As if any of those deranged Depp fans would go see Aquaman 2. Theyre protesting because they think Depp is some kind of God. Hes just a dunken, drug addled egotist who thinks hes Olivier.

by Anonymousreply 39May 1, 2022 8:13 PM

R38 the hate for Kelly was so over the top.

by Anonymousreply 40May 2, 2022 5:21 AM

I wouldn’t cut Amber out of the movie nor recast the role. I’d keep her in the movie but add a CGI death scene for the character. Some battle where she really gets her ass kicked and killed. Lots of Depp fans would love to see that. I’d even cast Johnny in a cameo in a crowd scene reacting and witnessing her death.

by Anonymousreply 41May 24, 2022 5:24 PM

Is MM really the godparent for Johnny’s children? That is so misguided. He couldn’t find anyone else? His sister?

by Anonymousreply 42May 24, 2022 5:45 PM

They've both been revealed to be abusive users.

by Anonymousreply 43May 24, 2022 6:12 PM

I think keeping her in some of the film is a good decision. Her stans will still support the film - the reduced time will placate the Depp stans - and when this crazy trial is over, it'll all fade away, and she'll live or die (Hollywood-wise) based on how her films do. If anything, maybe a producer thinks her increased name recognition will make her more valuable, maybe in a different or smaller production.

I had no idea who she was until all this. Now I can see she's beautiful - I wouldn't mind checking her out in a film or tv thing, even if I think she's more the villain than he is (putting on my kevlar...)

by Anonymousreply 44May 24, 2022 6:22 PM

I’ve never seen the art house movie THE DANISH GIRL. She has a supporting role in that. I don’t think she had the natural charisma to ever be a big movie star, though she’d probably have been fine in some TV law firm show or something.

Recasting

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 47June 14, 2022 8:59 PM

It's strange seeing people here saying that she was great in Aquaman when "during testimony, Walter Hamada, the head of the DC films segment of Warner Bros., admitted they had previously considered recasting her" (because she lacked chemistry with Momoa and generally she isn't a good actress).

Anyway, not surprised to hear that she has been cut out completely - the Change petition to remove her has reached a staggering 4.5m. It's a business. Christian Dior's cologne that Depp advertises have been selling out in stores as well.

by Anonymousreply 48June 14, 2022 9:35 PM

If Johnny had shit in her bed I don't think people would care as much.

But a woman did it! They're not supposed to do that! How could he help but bash the screeching harpies face in! Our poor entertainment actor had to suffer this bitch he left his ex for in a mid life crisis!

Makes sense he might go a little ballistic after feeling taken advantage of by letting all her friends live rent free.
