Actor Richard Thomas of Waltons fame.

Eldergays, during his time on the Waltons, did you consider Richard Thomas cute or was that mole on his face a total turn off?

The funniest thing about him is that he dated Brenda Dickson, according to her.

by Anonymousreply 1April 30, 2022 10:24 PM

I thought he was cute. Also met him once several years ago. Really nice man.

by Anonymousreply 2April 30, 2022 10:25 PM

I could never see past Ben.

by Anonymousreply 3April 30, 2022 10:25 PM

Hot legs.

[Quote] The funniest thing about him is that he dated Brenda Dickson

We talked about me.

by Anonymousreply 5April 30, 2022 10:30 PM

I thought he was cute too. And if you go back and watch some of the episodes you'll see he never wore underwear (or wore very loose boxers) because he always had a low hanging basket that was out and proud.

by Anonymousreply 6April 30, 2022 10:35 PM

He was HAF.

by Anonymousreply 7April 30, 2022 10:37 PM

There was a clip on YouTube ages ago of him and grandpa skinny dipping in a pond. When John Boy got out, you could see dick.

I assume that did not make it to air. Or maybe they were careless. Like the John Ritter balls.

by Anonymousreply 8April 30, 2022 10:40 PM

John Boy was a creep. I never thought he was hot. He just doesn't have "it"

by Anonymousreply 9April 30, 2022 10:43 PM

I thought that was a birth mark. But ew.

by Anonymousreply 10April 30, 2022 10:48 PM

There was an earnestness on THE WALTONS I found off outt8ng. Didn’t bother me in THE HOMECOMING or as he got older.

The skinny dipping with Will Geer scene aired

by Anonymousreply 11April 30, 2022 10:49 PM

Cute but that big mole was just nasty. Mole removal is super cheap so there is no excuse.

by Anonymousreply 12April 30, 2022 10:49 PM

Well who the fuck wants to see Will Geer skinny dipping?

by Anonymousreply 13April 30, 2022 10:50 PM

R12 Did they already have laser treatment in the 70s/80s? A surgical removal would definitely leave a scar.

by Anonymousreply 14April 30, 2022 10:53 PM

I was in love with his ass. So well defined.

by Anonymousreply 15April 30, 2022 10:56 PM

He’s fine at 1 AM in a bar. You all know what I mean

by Anonymousreply 16April 30, 2022 11:06 PM

Damn - he has not aged well

He's still recognizable, that's something.

by Anonymousreply 18April 30, 2022 11:23 PM

He looks fine in Ozark

by Anonymousreply 19April 30, 2022 11:26 PM

He's good in Ozark as Laura Linney's religious fundamentalist dad.

by Anonymousreply 20April 30, 2022 11:58 PM

He was incredible as a gay paraplegic Vietnam vet in Lanford Wilson's "Fifth of July" replacing Christopher Reeve on Broadway.

[quote] Damn - he has not aged well

Are you kidding? He's 70 years old. He looks fantastic.

by Anonymousreply 22May 1, 2022 12:58 AM

He played Wendy Byrds father on Ozark and they looked the same age.

by Anonymousreply 23May 1, 2022 1:03 AM

Going to see him in To Kill A Mockingbird in Chicago in three weeks.

by Anonymousreply 24May 1, 2022 1:04 AM

I thought he was cute. He is doing a great job playing Laura Linney's father on Ozark.

by Anonymousreply 25May 1, 2022 1:06 AM

He was always boy next door cute. He was great in The Americans as Agent Gaad, director of FBI counter-intelligence.

by Anonymousreply 26May 1, 2022 1:11 AM

Considering The Waltons was 50 years ago he looks quite good. We saw him in the Little Foxes with Laura Linney a couple of years ago and we spotted him walking to the theater before the show. She must have had a hand in getting him cast in Ozark. Like others have said he seems like a nice guy.

by Anonymousreply 27May 1, 2022 1:13 AM

Also good on Billions as a faux-philanthropist billionaire.

by Anonymousreply 28May 1, 2022 1:14 AM

I worked at Warner Bros back when the Waltons was being made. I saw John Boy constantly, because the set was about 300 feet from my office. Nice guy.

Following Grandma Walton through the WB cafeteria line was more of a surprize. She had a cigarette but hanging off her lower lip.
